Don't know the terminology, sorry, when I push the notes around in the Edit window, the sound is cut very short, like hard damped, instead of ringing out.
Happens sometimes, sometimes not, no idea why..
:?

(Version 5 Pro.)

Yep , I occasionally had that issue in 4.5
It's like the midi is abruptly cut off when auitioning a note , imho there are way too many midi issues with Studio one and I think it's because of their conversion of midi ( just speculation )

Exactly. So you never found a solution? :(
What means conversion?

Post

STACCATO is the word I was looking for.

With conversion I mean that studio one is using it's own kind of high res. midi messages , along the conversion from regular to studio one midi I suspect things can go wrong .
It was a big selling point when it was released

Anyone else?
I can't find anything on the S1 troubleshooting pages.

All I remember is that in my case , all of these small annoyances were fixed whenever a new win 10 update arrived , then a few weeks later it happened again ..rinse and repeat .
So it's still happening with you ?

Yes, and I can't see any pattern.

Update?
Ok, let's see. :scared:

This is one of the issues I had , no note off was registerd using the onboard piano roll , go to the second page
Sounds exactly like your issue

It happens with internal presonus and vst instruments also , when I draw a long note ( while holding the mouse button ) the note is only heard for a verry short time ( short gate ) while it should sustain ( it does sustain when clicking directly on the piano roll )
The integra is playing no part in this ( except as an audio interface )

This nasty bug is still there

Thanks. :tu:

That thread is a laymans nightmare.. :scared:

So this problem switches itself on and off with Windows updates?

Post

something like that .
If the bug would be easily reproducable they could look into it , but it seems only a handfull of people have ever mentioned it , so it's kinda hard .
As a matter of fact , presonus is sh-t when it comes to support

Do they beat Steinbergs 3 months to answer a support ticket? :D
Oh well, if it comes to MIDI, S1 sucks..
Please let me know when you hear something on this topic, the troubles of the chosen few.
Thanks again. :ud:
