Can't argue with a revue like that. This thing is a beauty. a bit blurry on my screen, but what a noise it makes! Bought now!martiu wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 3:56 pmBONOO, you backBONES wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 1:09 pm f**k ME DEAD!!! Every second SEQ patch is an awesome bassline from the Halcyon days of EBM. That interface makes it a complete non-starter for me. They gave it the most garish contrast possible and it actually feels unpleasant to look at. Don't care how good it sounds if using it gives me a headache.

They probably will. The real question is whether we will get an OB-6 emulation..beely wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 3:14 pm While OB-X covers similar ground, I wonder if they'll do specific OB-Xa and OB-8 instruments too, to round out the Complete Tom collection?

It looks like they chose to make it look the same as the original...Vortifex wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 4:44 pm That interface makes it a complete non-starter for me. Is the OB-6 still a current instrument for sale, or has it been discontinued? If it's still current, I think it's unlikely, I think out of respect for Oberheim and Sequential they wouldn't want to potentially cannibalise sales of the hardware with plugin versions, at least at this time. I think they're more on a vintage thing, and a "preserve Tom's legacy" thing, so I'd guess the OB-6 wouldn't be something they wanted to do...
Edit: According to the SCI website, the OB-6 is still a current product...

And here’s me last week saying no more synth purchases for me after buying a few of the NI £17 offerings

I wonder what happens if I press this button...

Would actually love to see the Matrix 6 & 1000; true Oberheim Gems.

However, if GF *do* want to continue to do all the Oberheim's, then an Xpander/Matrix-12 and a Matrix 6/1000 would be cool... Much later than those are they aren't really worth bothering with, they were dark times for the brand...
I could see them reimagining the Marion MSR2 though, as a possibility...

Then also the Marion Prosynth, please.

Agreed. On my system, the FX knobs are all blurred, along with the text. Very uncomfortable after a while. Hope they can sort this outVortifex wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 4:44 pm That interface makes it a complete non-starter for me. The OB 1 is the best and tightest sounding mono synth I've ever heard and owned. I'm not sure (yet) if this is the best sounding vst.
A big strong point of the OG is it's crazy fast envelopes which I didn't hear back in the plug in either.
