Reminds me, I saw Spacemen3 playing The Packhorse (a little pub in Leeds!)
I love the Packhorse! Must've seen hundreds of performances there.

I saw the Grateful Dead once.....
They came out, did about 5 songs mostly acoustic, then left and let the roadies beat on the drums the rest of the night.

Not a bad trick I guess, pay your roadies to setup your gear, then play your instruments.
 :x :dog:

It stunk......

That gig must have been about the last time I went in there - moved away from Leeds shortly after.

they kinda lost it, especially after justice...
This current tour is actually pretty good.
Great opening number (Blackened).
that's as maybe, but for justice, it cost me 25 quid, including travel to the venue in birmingham from up north.
now, the tickets alone cost 180 plus booking fee, train is another 70.

not to mention, im in a position now where id want to sit most of the time.
im not spending 250 quid, to sit somewhere.

When did you see Stevie? That's one artist I wish I could've seen live. Almost went with him.and Jeff Beck co-headlining arenas.
I think it was around the time of the "Couldn't Stand the Weather" tour. I think it was about 1984.
It was in a smaller venue in Boston. It was a fantastic show.

Unless you don't pay rent, you are paying way more than 250 quid to sit.

Nice. SRV at a small venue with some hard liquor....that's how it's done.
I did get to see the Fab T-Birds at a club. It was a sell out with everyone piss drunk by the end of the show. Nothing like a bunch of 30-40 year old gals walking around drunk in daisy dukes and mini skirts.

I paid $50 to see Madonna in 1990. Inflation adjusted that's $120.00. How much is the modern concert ticket?

Poor man, you obviously have difficulties with reading comprehension - this thread is not about band member eating habits, but "Classic concerts you have attended". Try to re-read the header, slowly.

Could the two of you knock it off? KVR is not a place where people involve themselves with bickering.
