does anyone know if there is going to be support for the newer apple chips, I have an m1 macbook and was hoping to see an update for this.

Curently no, sorry, however I'm working on rewriting Spiral in WebAssembly so this won't be a problem anymore. I guess that at some point I'll do the same for SplineEQ.
