Yeah, these are three plugins that just reliably do the thing you expect them to do, with a small (and proportionate) amount of setup.

I'm finding Saturn 2 and Fircomp2 also "quietly" becoming go-to plugins and think it's for the same reason.

RBass every time I use it
Omnischeps every time I abuse it

Drone-e for Reaktor
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

(somehow*) not impressed by the plugin itself, but by the synthsounds it helps me to achive:
Airwindows "Stonefire".

But you need to understand how to use it.
In my case: never alone. It makes others shine.
Thats the trick.

Solaris by Adam Szabo. Amazing sound, great for ambient and similar genres.

FirComp is such a beast and it's hilarious how cheap it is for how clean this compressor sounds - nothing can touch it.

When it's a bit more about analog compression vibes, I'm an MJUC kind of guy - like FirComp, hilariously cheap for how good it sounds.

I tend to use dbsmooth over fircomp. But yea,
fircomp tough to beat genrally.

I’ve been using plugins about 20 years now. Nothing impress me anymore. A new mixing technique on the other hand…
