the question is simple : how to reformat the HD (5Tb) in HFS+ or exFAT format to use it on my mac ?

hmm, weird. got access to a windows system at all?
if so, you could format to exfat there, or perhaps even use diskpart to remove all the partitions

Also, some drives have a tiny slider that make it read-only and may cause a 'fail'
