Can this be done in Speedrum (quick sample switch preview in context)?

Hello,

I've been using Speedrum (v1) for a while, and I found I'm quite missing something that would speed up considerably my drum production workflow.

Let's say I have a MIDI part triggering a pad; while playing in loop that part, I'd like to hear a different sample, from the current folder in the browser, in place of the one already assigned to the pad when the pad is triggered, with the ability to switch samples quickly and confirm a new one to assign to the pad if it's preferred or revert to the original one as needed.

I know I can ALT-drag a sample to a pad to have it replace the first layer instead of adding a new layer (and I can set it as the default drag action without the need to press ALT while dragging).
But, I hope you appreciate the intended pun, it's a bit of a ...drag... :)
A possible huge enhancement would be the following: being able to select - with up/down keys - a sample in the browser and have the one currently assigned to the pad replaced (temporarily until committing) by the one selected in the browser; this would help a lot to find the right drum sound more easily.

Is something like that available in Speedrum 1 or 2 already?

Thanks,
Mario

It's not possible at the moment, and you're not the first to suggest something similar. So, I plan to add some form of preview instead of a direct replacement, for samples from the Browser.

Thank you very much for your reply, I hope this can be added soon to Speedrum v2 :)
