ToneX is still doing amazing quality captures for me, and I strongly prefer the Amplitube 5 software ecosystem as it has far more effects and such that I've bought over the years. I'm just wishing it could calibrate so well now that I've seen how good that can be and how easy

I was being way too conservative with the input gain (following their advice in the manual) - with single coil Jazzmaster pickups, I've got to set input gain to its highest setting to get the right level. Once I did that I've been extremely pleased with the ToneX pedal. The IK app/pedal/etc. interface still sucks but I uploaded about 20 Amalgam Audio of 3-4 amps and that's been plenty.

Meh , I’ll fess up - my laptop is pretty outdated. & struggling to run new stuff like NAM now.
But…has the quality of the sims really changed? Or moreso the graphics/fx..not convinced.

Tend to agree with this YT guy in below link.
I don’t play metal or use brutal heavy tones.
Maybe that’s the segment improved so much in a decade.This dude is still using TSE his tones and mixes sound decent to me.

u talking heavy tones ? The ‘profiler/rig player ’ (name?) was so hyped and a real letdown imo. Brunetti amps (who?) ..metropolitan (what?)
And who exactly is chasing that “Lynch” tone these days.

It did have a handful of patches that nailed certain tones I’ll give it that. GUI is a sh1t design, cmon.
Tell me the amp setups that sound good pls I’ll give it one more go ..maybe

I still always find myself going back to Kuassa's sims. Amplitube is pretty good but I prefer Kuassa, especially Cerberus.

For real?? installed and binned THU 5 times chasing the amazing tones I read about on forums. Are we talking primarily heavy music here? The ‘profiler/rig player ’ (name?) patches sounded like Sh1t imo. Tried different interfaces etc also.

It did have a handful of patches that nailed certain tones I’ll give it that. A handful among 5,000 presets. And the GUI is a sh1t design, cmon.

I bought 2 TH-U acoustic packs which come with the complimentary 'Essential' version, the acoustic stuff sounds great IMO, the other Amps pretty good that I've tried....
the GUI is OK but I really dislike the way the preset browser works - it's not fun to trawl through 180 presets in a little box - it need an organiser or a favourites option
