Which softsynths have the nicest-sounding choruses?

I admit it, I like the sound of a good chorus. But of course they tend to sound rather different from each other. There probably is no fixed set of rules that must apply for a chorus to be a chorus. Or is there? Like one or two chorus lines? Or the frequency or waveform used?
For instance I don't like the Tal chorus that seems to be used in all Tal synths. It makes the sound dull somehow.
The Sylenth1 chorus on the other hand still sounds like one of the best to me. Bright, lush and pleasant, and highly configurable. If it had a damp button, it would be even better.
The U-he chorus is somewhere in between.

I actually like the Kilohearts Chorus snapin a lot, to the point that I use it outside of Phase Plant quite a bit.
Artutia's Juno Chorus is not bad but also not my favorite.
Honestly one of my favorite chorus plugins is Melda's MChorusMB. Thorus is really interesting too (and counts for your original question as it can be used as a part of Falcon).

Diva and the Softube Juno (is that Model 84?) are good ones for me.

- Audiority Chorus Ensembler or Chief Chorus are both great.
- Kilohearts for a freebie is OK, i do use it but its not as lush / obvious as some others.
- Arturia Juno 6 is my personal favorite, I think it sounds better than Tal's
Dune 3 has a really nice chorus with a few different styles. It has the best Unison i have heard.

It's a very "cold" sounding chorus, yeah, which I actually prefer, part of why I use it a lot. I prefer modulation effects that don't add a lot of warmth.MattLeschuck wrote: Mon Jul 15, 2024 2:14 am - Kilohearts for a freebie is OK, i do use it but its not as lush / obvious as some others.

Yes, the Model 84, and while I don't own it, it and the Model 80 (Prophet-5) have been on my backburner list ever since first hearing them. They sound awesome.

Roland’s Zenology synth has multiple chorus modes including the Juno 106, SDD-320 (Dimension D), Boss CE-1, something (based on the Space Echo?) they’ve called “Space D”, Hexa-Chorus (as the name suggests it’s a 6 layer chorus), and a standard Zenology Chorus.
