Has anyone here owned a Kurzweil 1000SX String Expander? Back in the late 80s, Kurzweil produced a set of rack units featuring some of their samples. Given the reputation of Kurzweil for having high quality samples, I'm curious as to what this unit featured beyond the simple "String Ensemble" patches samplers typically had back them. Did it have separate samples for various articulations like spiccato, etc? Were the string sections broken down into different samples, e.g. 1st violins?

I'm guessing even with a dedicated unit like this, they were still limited with what they could do. But being Kurzweil, I'm still curious.

I'm not finding much online. No patch list or anything like that. And only one video on YouTube where they run it through a guitar amp to prove it's working in order to sell it. :) Any info is appreciated. Thanks
