Anyway, I've just updated the first post with the video overview and the tutorial!

It actually does that? That is so cool!audiothing wrote: Tue Jul 16, 2024 4:25 pmThe delay time can change every day and it's going to be accurate if you "ping the moon". This is really clever, and cool! Will doubtless provide hours of fun. Thank you.
The Dwingeloo Radio Observatory looks fascinating. Enjoyed the history-docu-background on it. Well done.

Yep! You change the distance of the Moon (as reflected in the pixel art animation) to change the delay time
ahah that would be cool!vurt wrote: Tue Jul 16, 2024 6:10 pm id like it if we were actually sending audio to the moon, then receiving jumbled up bits of echos of other peoples audio![]()

...seriously !!!!! ... either crazy and genius this is ???????
Yep! The Horizons System is easy to use (even though the API output is a bit of a mess to work with). You can play with it here: https://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/horizons/app.html#/

Are impulse response like patterns captured to derive some sort of algorithm from the moon bounce to generate these fx or are they recreated using traditional techniques like chorus flinger delay to mimic the sound of effect of moon bounce?

Tiny Bug when resetting MIX via Double-click, resets to 51%
Dont want to be the usual Suspect but no Oversampling here as it seems. Still working pretty fine, except for HF - Doppler - settings.
Great Release!

We combined several techniques, including using impulse responses. We sent numerous test signals, but the challenge was that we only had a 2.5 sec window to transmit them.Touch The Universe wrote: Tue Jul 16, 2024 11:57 pm Are impulse response like patterns captured to derive some sort of algorithm from the moon bounce to generate these fx or are they recreated using traditional techniques like chorus flinger delay to mimic the sound of effect of moon bounce?

Ah thanks, I'll fix that. By the way, you can overwrite the Init patch with your defaults.El°HYM wrote: Wed Jul 17, 2024 10:49 am @audiothing

I might add oversampling in a future update.
