Guitar fretboard to midi out

Hi,
Is there any plugin with guitar fretboard interface that can output midi note from it? For example, If I click 7th fret high E string in the plugin, the output in midi editor is B note, so I can draw it. Is there any?
Sometimes I have melody/riff idea in guitar, but for other sounds. I don't want to play guitar and/or use audio to midi function. Just quick and easy plugin so I can draw midi in the editor.

That would be something I would like to toy around with as well. Maybe with each virtual string sending data to its own MIDI channel.

Well, Amplesound virtual guitars have this capability. They also support separating strings to midi channels. They have a free version of their acoustic guitars (it’s available in pluginboutique), but I’m not sure if the free instrument supports midi guitar convention.

You'll need some routing for my suggestion to work. For example, in Cubase you'll need to create another track in addition to the Amplesound track and have that new track receiving MIDI from the Amplesound track. Then, you can use the step input feature to enter MIDI notes to your new track by clicking on the fretboard in the Amplesound instrument.

Hey thanks! I have Ample Bass 6 strings and it's actually worked. Some workaround to make it like a guitar. I prefer a simpler midi fx plugin with guitar fretboard, but Ample Bass will worked for now.csscp wrote: Tue Jul 16, 2024 8:40 pm You'll need some routing for my suggestion to work. No problem. I've just checked and Scaler 2 has this functionality as well in guitar layout mode!eluherlu wrote: Wed Jul 17, 2024 6:29 amHey thanks!
