To be fair the crunchy, crispy things (Aliasing) are more in the Mid-range or Below. This is why people still love Decapitator and such and while it does work fine on Drums, its not so pleasing in the High-frequencies. Thats where the Ear-fatiguing things will take place. So OS is nothing to just put on or leave off; more like using a Transformer to see if it betters the sound or not and then decide.
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

Would be pretty cool to have an option to turn on, like someone already said, have scrambled bits of the sound randomly mixed in, but also random bits of like Apollo 11/astronaut speech communication/transmission samples. Could also have a mix control for amount and also like modulation/lfo to automatically control the wet/dry mix level and volume and like a lofi/bitcrush filter that goes from clear and audible very breifly to degraded. Also add a parallel reverse of the speech sample path, like if you have a four track cassette recorder and you use a normal commercialized cassette of speech, where you get the phenomenom of both sides playing speech at the same time, one in forward and one in reverse, with random gaps on both sides, so you hear some audible bits and other times you hear both the reverse and forward together, and sometimes just the reversed/backwards playback.
The keyboard player in my band uses a cassette four track recorder in his live rig for this very purpose. He found some cassette collections of new age motivational speeches that have audio on both sides. He then runs it through a standard digital delay pedal. He will push play on the cassette 4 track recorder, and you get this trippy very psychedelic vocal background ambience in our songs, and he can mess with the EQ filter on the four track to make it even more lofi. He uses for certain minimal sections, intro and outros, or just an underlying background layer to fill out the wall of sound field we create. It blows peoples minds when we play live, and no one in the audience can really pinpoint how he is doing that unless they ask and we explain it to them.
Even just a separate plugin that could do this four track trick where you load in samples or comes with speech samples and what not. Unless there is a dedicated plugin that can easily do this already. I know there are sampler vsti, granular stuff. But an easy to use and setup for that would be amazing.

I think Noises would be perfect for this: https://www.audiothing.net/instruments/noises/metalifuxx wrote: Wed Jul 17, 2024 8:19 pmEven just a separate plugin that could do this four track trick where you load in samples or comes with speech samples and what not. Will it play it back forward and reverse at the same time with two different samples on "each side of a cassette" ? That's what a cassette four track recorder will do when you playback a standard mastered/commercial cassette...audiothing wrote: Wed Jul 17, 2024 8:29 pmI think Noises would be perfect for this: https://www.audiothing.net/instruments/noises/metalifuxx wrote: Wed Jul 17, 2024 8:19 pmEven just a separate plugin that could do this four track trick where you load in samples or comes with speech samples and what not. Ohh, I see it can't. If you ever do an updated new version of Noises, that would be super cool to integrate. Parallel (2, or more?) sample layers, with the ability to have either played normaly/forward or reverse/backwards. Ability to turn on random volume dropouts for either sample layer etc. It will be so cool, trust me.metalifuxx wrote: Wed Jul 17, 2024 8:40 pmWill it play it back forward and reverse at the same time with two different samples on "each side of a cassette" ? You have 8 slots, so you could potentially load 4 samples + the same 4 reversed. It's not going to be the same thing as a 4 track cassette, but you can get a pretty close result I think. If you set the big knob in between two samples, you are going to cross fade between the two, so if you have one normal and one reversed next to each other, you can get similar results.metalifuxx wrote: Wed Jul 17, 2024 8:40 pm Will it play it back forward and reverse at the same time with two different samples on "each side of a cassette" ? After today's events, I doubt they will bother with my false positive feedback....
