Tried the demo, well done, really! Hope Oblivion Sound Lab and TTU will do soundsets in the future for it!

My coupon claims to offer me $150 off the sale price, but when I follow through with the cart, it only knocks off $50.

Still can't use Software Pass. This isn't the first time it's happened, it's nothing to do with Crowdstrike. Last sale I also couldn't register or install my purchases for more than a day after making them due to Software Pass and the KORG id website not working.

Post

Yeah I can't install it either. I didn't think it was possible, but somehow Korg Software Pass has managed to be even worse than Roland Cloud Manager...and Roland Cloud Manager is abysmal. It's sad that these legendary companies just can't figure out the software side of things. :(

Considering the Crowdstrike thing, I realize these remarks are not deserved. Let's give them some time to sort this mess out.

You better have a hefty powerful CPU because my potato PC can't handle it.

Downloaded the Demo of the 2600 and was able to mess with it a bit at lunch

Sounds awesome very hardware like. Runs great on I9, 64gb ram Windows 11

For those that are having problems with Korg Software Pass today - I apologize, and thank you for your patience. There are multiple servers involved in the KSP process, and some of them are down due to the Crowdstrike debacle. Others are still up and running, apparently differing by region; I just verified that KSP is working on my system at the moment, from here in California. Amazon s3 seems to be unaffected, which is why you can download the software from the direct links. Hopefully the net will return to some normalcy over the next few days; in the meantime, I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

The stand alone version gave me bad latency but the plugin version is fine.
Again im very impressed by this emulation, i havent done any "real" comparaison yet but i have the Korg 2600M hardware and the plugin sounds very very similar.

Before 2024 I never encountered a situation where just initilazing the plugin brings my CPU to it's knees, first was Sumu beta and now the new ARP 2600. I have an ancient machine by today's standards since it's a 2013 quad intel Macbook Pro so I don't expect miracles but still I can't even play a single note using a monophonic patch. Interesting times.

I have a 2012 Imac and i can run Korg 2600 no problem , even 8 voices of polyphony 4x oversampling. I use Bitwig on a mac with 128 buffer

I wonder if people reporting latency know the standalone plugins have a buffer size option in the settings, which has a relatively high default (512 samples).

I can't download the new arp 2600 on windows :(
It gets blocked after the download is done and i get a message that a virus is detected.

The same problem shows up with the EP-1.

All the other single downloads works fine.

I disabled the antivirus pointing to the download folder and downloaded them again and then i did a scan of those 2 after the download was finnished and no Virus where found so i guess it is a glitch with Chrome and the antivirus app being too sensitive when downloading them when it is enabled on the download folder.

Pretty sure it's asking you to choose _where to install_ the factory content, not to locate it. For me that's how it worked, doubt it's different on your end...

(To be clear: the installation of factory content is performed by the plugin itself, on first launch. It is NOT handled by the Korg Software Pass application).

Liking the 2600 for sure, how deep!?

I have KC4 with $99 upgrade price to KC5 and I see they have a 50% off sale right now. Anyone got an idea if it likely be cheaper to upgrade over Black Friday?

OMG I feel so f*****g dumb now. :dog:

In my defense, when you click on "Download Factory Content", a window opens up and very much appears to be looking for a file to open...since the two buttons say Cancel and Open. That looks like you're supposed to OPEN something, not choose a file location.
