Hi,

I have created a small EP of about 6 seperate tracks / 30 minutes (in Reason). The songs are individual wav and mp3 files. I would now like to create an analog cassette from the songs, but more in the direction of a coherent mixtape.

What I mean by that is that the beginning and end of the songs merge nicely into one another so that each song flows into the next really well. The problem is that the songs differ slightly in tempo (120 - 127 bpm) and are not 100% identical in genre (ambient, electro, dub, house).

Any recommendations? Do I need DJ software? I have no experience in DJ, but if this is the best way I would like to learn.

Cheers and thanks in advance.

You would definitely be able to do this with dj software and if you have never beat matched before the software should be able to detect the bpm and also sync it for you.

Serato do a free lite version which I guess should be sufficient. https://serato.com/dj/lite

Ableton Live can do it easily

Thanks for suggestions, I think I try out this serato dj or tracktor dj. I am unsure.

How about you automate the tempo of your tunes in Reason and blend them together there?
