they really need to up their midi and sequencerpresets save game. other than that phantastic thou it tiakes a bit of time to get the ui sorted.

and u can get it for 10 bucks NOW, if u sub a monthly mega bundle. even at 99 dollars offered in my case this is cheaper after a year hence you can get three plugins for 120 dollars. thats a nobrainer for me, after a brief time of having unsubbed a two year run. i just subbed for battalion, and wudnerlich and the oven^^ maybe too haha

Yup, seem like if you get the $99 MEGA L deal for a year you get any 3 plugins for life, so as long as Battalion isn't excluded (it is form the of the bother deals running) that would seem to be the way to go....Personally I am still waiting to see if they ever actually updated it as it never happed with the other stuff I have like Lion, I would rather not get invested in software that never gets updated or improved.

I have this weird thing where all of a sudden, if i make a new instance of Battalion and load a previously made preset, sudddenly the sound is pitched up 2 semitones. It's not even 2 semitones, more like 1.7 or something. I have now idea why? Anyone have ideas? Pretty annoying

Unfortunately Unfiltered Audio isn't big on following its releases with updates, unless it's for compatibility. Which is such a shame because it would help take them to the next level. They are a small developer so it's probably more difficult to stay on top of.

Pity really.

UA has been posting in other forums that they are indeed updating this plugin and have a lot planned. Thats why I bought it. Also, it is already good.

Any of you all have a suggestion for a good midi controller setup in ableton? I have an older Novation Mk2 SL and would love to map to more than 1 knob, which is currently all I can do ATM. I'd also really like to be able to map the drums volumes to my 8 faders.

This looks like a beastly pairing with a MIDI controller, I just want to make sure I set it up correctly.

My plan would be to live jam and record the audio into each separate track. Essentially like I do with hardware.

Electronoughts was one…that was where I read about the current beta fix.

That said, I am still waiting for it to actually happen….owning Lion and Triaz etc I don’t expect much…maybe 1 update…

I researched this a bit more- seems the plugs you can pick from is far from everything, most of the stuff I would actually want (including battalion) isn't on the list of what's included (its just the stuff that is usually sub 30 bucks or bundled) so I am not going to try this!

I don't think the Mega subs have any exclusions - the list of exclusions is for bundles and their regular sales.

Yup.

Here's from their blurb about their mega bundle:

Pick ANY 3/6/10 of the plugins that are INCLUDED with your MEGA bundle.

So if you look at the equivalent bundle products for each subscription you can pick any of the plugins included.

In the lowest tier Battallion is listed in the bundle.

The only stipulation with the free plugins is that you need to redeem all the free plugins in one transaction. (if you have paid the yearly in advance or at the end of the yearly subscription) ie You can't get 2 in one transaction and then get another 1 later on.

That's not an issue really since you can just wait until the end of the year to redeem the "free" plugin coupon.

Another bug.

The LFO doesn't reset with DAW transport in Free run mode even though the tooltip says it should.

I really hope they update it.
