Just saw this available and purchased it.
Anyone else having a problem with it (VST2 version only) and Ableton Live (12.0.5)?
Ableton is not listing it after a plugin scan, and is also causing a crash sometimes during the scan.

It's a PITA to have a demo scheme that only allows you to demo the entire catalogue at the same time. If you've done it once, you can't do it again when they release a new plugin, without contacting the developer to request a renewal (which is often granted, but not always).
Until forever fades away.

Wow, product demos as a "free trial" of a subscription service. That's a huge turnoff.Choikdoi wrote: Fri Jul 19, 2024 7:16 pm It's a PITA to have a demo scheme that only allows you to demo the entire catalogue at the same time.
For the three audio examples on the page, I thought the dry versions sounded better without the phaser...

Then you arent into phasers and not the target customer. Glad that got sorted out. lolfoosnark wrote: Fri Jul 19, 2024 7:55 pmWow, product demos as a "free trial" of a subscription service. Ripple Phaser sounds pretty good. I prefer phasers that have a strong sonic character. I skipped the UVI phaser because I felt it was too subtle and I have other subtle phasers.
I am already a Minimal customer and am comfortable buying it without demoing. I think they should provide demos the ways most companies do. However the free trail thing can work as long as they are ok resetting for customers. Seems like a waste of effort. Maybe one day they will do demos "normally".

I am not admittedly not a huge fan of either phasers or flangers, but I do like them sometimes. It's just that I already have the Moogerfooger, Whirl, Uhbik, the one in Bitwig, an allpass filter in my modular, and plenty of ways to produce phaser-ish effects. And I didn't feel like the three audio samples on the page were enough to convince me to buy another one, without being able to try it myself on material of my own choosing.plexuss wrote: Fri Jul 19, 2024 10:27 pm Then you arent into phasers and not the target customer. Did you check out the walkthough video? It seems to me from that Ripple has some features that push its phaser sound into extreme realms in a very musically useful way. This I think set its apart from other phasers. Of course its only useful for those that have a use for such a thing. so it makes sense for you to not be jazzed by it. save you some $$. I am going to pick it up though. I want to watch a couple other video reviews of it first though just for due dilligence.foosnark wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 12:07 amI am not admittedly not a huge fan of either phasers or flangers, but I do like them sometimes. I hadn't watched it -- I'm just not in the habit of watching videos for most plugins, since I'd much rather try them myself.plexuss wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 3:12 am Did you check out the walkthough video? There are for sure some interesting features in there though. Much more of a diverse sound design tool than what I usually think of with phasers. At the intro price it got me curious enough to go ahead and buy it. And yeah, it's quite cool. In fact I might like it more than Rift.
So thanks for the pushback

Very strange. Bought it on PB for 24.17€ when my special upgrade price to complete bundle on minimal website (I already have all their apps and packs) was 34€

I bought it. Ripple is a unique phaser in that it has a wide range of effect, compared to most phaser plugins, and its modulation and frequency controls are also unique. It the kind of phaser sound I like: a full rich filter character vs a flange character. No brainer for me although I bought it without a demo because no demo is provided. However, I am comfortable buying Minimal's with only media demos, generally. I would prefer if they provided actual product demo trials though.

I'd want to compare it to Godfazer and the forthcoming update to Uhbik-P. The latter being a future event, as to when shrouded in uncertainty, might let this simmer for a year and see if the praise continues unabated.

I've been in touch with support - hopefully they'll have it fixed soon.
