Hmmmm...DJ City in Aus say they have the MS5 in stock
. Will have to check with them in the morning, and see if they ship to NZ ( they have PWM in stock too). Sounds a bit dodgy to me, as nowhere else in the world appears to have them yet. Any Aussies out there done business with DJ City before? Are they legit or bullshitting? And anyway, I doubt they'll ship to NZ - none of the other main dealers do.

OK, found answer to my question already. Went to their own site for reviews: 67 reviews, 87% of which were 1 star all similar stories - ordered online, money taken, nothing sent, no replies to any calls or emails. 2 of the reviews that received any goods were both broken. "Customer service" replies to the crescendo of shite reviews look like automated bot replies. The odd review of instore service being equally shite.
Methinks avoid like very infectious plague.

They were waiting for components. I think they've got so many synths on the pipeline they just can't keep pace. It will cost 99 so maybe they prefer to get the +200 euros synths coming.bungle wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2024 4:17 pmI thought they cancelled it a long time ago?silikonanswer wrote: Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:03 am I think that I am the only person in this world to be waiting for a Hirotribe update![]()

Since the Pro 800 was a success. I wonder if they will do any more poly synths in that same desktop or rack form, at the same kind of price

The polysource was teased at. Basically an 8-voice polyphonic Minimoog but with one less oscillator.discogsaddict wrote: Sat Jul 27, 2024 8:02 am Since the Pro 800 was a success. I wonder if they will do any more poly synths in that same desktop or rack form, at the same kind of price
I think that would be hard to resist.

I'd quite like something roland, since they're doing prophet 5 and jupiter 8 as full keyboards. Maybe a jupiter 6 desktop would be in line with the prophet 600

JT-800? At this rate, I’ll never wind up getting any one of them because I keep waiting for the next one.

Or a desktop version of the JT-16 or Pro-16. Fingers crossed they're accurate clones.Uncle E wrote: Sat Jul 27, 2024 8:25 pm JT-800? At this rate, I’ll never wind up getting any one of them because I keep waiting for the next one.

Moog Source, but really pleased they added some knobs and got rid of the alpha dial.egbert101 wrote: Sat Jul 27, 2024 10:49 am

Sort of ruins the concept of analogue synths, for me, if I can't change more than one parameter at a time. Not too fond of the membrane switches though, but by the time this comes out, reports of the p800's failing will be in or not by then, so might not be an issue like the originals.

Looks like they're not averse to doing Roland. They've done a 101, 303, 808, 909, that crappy little 6 thing that came with the 303, Deepmind which was a Juno106 on steroids. They've got a Juno6 in the pipeline (Neptune), the Jupiter8. And the MS5 seemed to come out of the blue, dunno how they kept that so quiet? I'm with you - would love a JP6 more than a JP8, though I'll buy that anyway when it's out.discogsaddict wrote: Sat Jul 27, 2024 11:23 am Wow never seen that before. TBH, I can't really think of much else Roland that's outstanding? Maybe some classic old pedals but that doesn't seem to be on their radar. A Jupiter 6 would be great, but I'm not sure it would be a seller - everyone gags for the 8 rather than 6.
I suppose they haven't done any JX range yet...maybe a souped up JX3p but I'd hate if they copied those fkn 'orrible buttons. It would need proper knobs like on the controller. I used to love the 3p. And a JX8 with even worse buttons should be a no-no. An AlphaJuno would be nice but similarly I suspect they'd copy the buttons and alpha wheel, which is an instanotbuy from me.

I wonder how many of these Synths have full midi implementation like the UB-x has.
