Does anyone know where I may be able to get some new Surround tools, with the following exceptions:

1/. No Encoders/Decoders. I already own all I need.
2/. Voxengo - already got them
3/. Steinberg Surround Edition - already own.
4/. Waves IR-2 360 - not interested
5/. Multiphonie tools - already know about them
6/. TonyB's Cubase surround FX - already got them.

I really have no problem buting these, I just want a wider selection of tools & FX.

Surely with the talent here, someone must be writing for multichannel??

Have you tried Steinbergs Clean? That's the only one I'm familiar with - and it's probably way less than the 'Surround Edition' is.... But you never know? :?

6 speaker Surround you mean, right? I'm still trying to get some good out of my Roland/Boss RSS technology to make 3D sound out of a 2 channel system before I get involved with 6 speakers. ;)

Er - Steinberg Clean is a restoration package, and has nothing to do with Surround, AFAIK!

To get good 3D spatial sound from a stereo system, you really need to be doing a surround mix and then matrix encoding using an LRCS type tool, or another matrix encoder, to give an Lt/Rt mix instead of an L/R one.
Otherwise there is nothing happening to get hold of in a decoder.

3D spatial sound is not easy to do well.

Maybe some of this stuff is useful:

Have you SEEN the surround capabilities Clean does offer to a soundfile? If you're going to restore something, why not make it 6 channel ready for the future? I think Clean does adress this in quite a proffesional manner IMO. Better than Surround Edition...? But if you're looking still - LOOK AT IT!

If it isn't as good - THEN you don't have to thank me. ;)

CLEAN has a dodgy matrix encoder - no more.
It is an LRCS type, Dolby Surround "Passive" mode encoder.

Absolutely useless.
