I have a Yammie AN1x that I wanna paint glow-in-the- dark green. I just want to paint the casing, obviously, not the keys
. Any advice?

I have nothing beneficial to really add to this thread..
other than I'm interested in seeing/hearing about any one who has done this too
If money was no object, I think it would amusing (seeing the reactions of people) to stick something like a nordlead 'engine' (or other synth) into the body of a dimestore/child's keyboard..
"you bought this at the dept store for 20 dollars???? is freakin' amazing!!! sounds like a nordlead!!!!"
that said.. it would be a waste of a perfectly good synth..

A good friend of mine hated the red of his newly purchased Nord Lead 1. He simply handed it to a car painter (??? billackerare in swedish) and had it redone in a stylish matte black.
...then he sold it 'cause he didn't think it could do anything that his MS-20, MS-50, DW-6000, SH-1 or Moog Prodigy couldn't.
On another note - that Andromeda is beautiful!

-That- Andromeda is not real, it's a concept rendering. It was actually made, though! Details here:Lo Fi Massahkah wrote:On another note - that Andromeda is beautiful!

The only mod I've done so far is too superglue a big plastic head of Wiley Coyote on top of my MS20 (got it from a kid's shampoo bottle) and it won't come off now. But I still quite like it.
It kind of irritates me that I can't for the life of me remember why I did it....or what I was on at the time.
At some stage I would love to take the casing off and have one made out of brushed aluminium with Rimu wood end cheeks.......I just know the missus won't pass that one through the budget though
And a car badge on my MC202...I found an old Holden 202 metal badge in a junk shop for $2 and stuck it into the 202 casing....
I used to know someone who was also a jeweller. He took off all the knobs on his synths and moulded some out of silver - very nice it looked too. Did that with the knobs and switches on his old MGB as well (which looked even nicer, although a bugger to polish).
That's given me an idea....my brushed aluminium and wood MS20 with some titanium knobs
Lordy lordy, I better keep that one quiet or I'm heading for a divorce.

Some folks have been selling clear plastic Juno-106 pitch bender / LFO assemblies with blue LEDs in them. It's a classic synth, not a Vauxhall Nova!
I sincerely hope that nobody threw the original module away.

Analogue or digital – which is better? There's only one way to find out... FI-I-IGHT!!!
