This is my contribution
The title is “Simpler Song” :)
https://soundcloud.com/user-221952934-5 ... al_sharing

DAW: Studio One
Synth: 17x Cherry Audio Synthesizer Expansion Module (based on the 1974 Oberheim one)

Studio One Effects: Pro EQ, Analog Delay, Mixverb, Groove Delay, Splitter, Pedalboard, Beat Delay, Splitter, Compressor, Autofilter, Open Air, Limiter, X-Trem, Bitcrusher

3rd Party Plugins: Valhalla Supermassive, AirWindows AutoPan64, Solaris, AirWindows EQ64, Deelay, Quilcom Blur, AirWindows AutoPan64

Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this synth as much as some others here and I didn't finish any other song except my two test songs :)
So I chose one of them and made it my contribution :)

Here's my submission. This was an interesting synth due to its limitations and was a fun learning experience for me as well. The synth clicked for me the more I pushed the interaction between the dual pulse width modulators, LP/HP filter blend and echo - it can all be used to shape the sound in surprising ways.

DAW: Reaper 7.19. About 60 instances of Cherry Audio SEM.

FX Used:
ToneBoosters V3 EQ, Reverb and Flex.
BlauKraut Delay
Melda MSaturator.
ReaComp, ReaLimit, JS Saike Transient, JS Stereo Enhancer and JS Inflator.

Either it's a typo, a lie, or he's just showing off

But, it's entirely possible (with a lot of CPU-Fu). e.g. If you make a 2 octave polyphonic karplus instrument from the SEM, that's 24 instances, and if you use a few of those then then the numbers add up quickly. I think that's what's happening here.

Post

I'll also upload the presets that I created for this round in case anyone is interested. A few are intended for layering and some of them are quite resonant as well due to the way I've set the delay. I've tried to keep them at least somewhat under control!

To install, I believe you click on the cog wheel in SEM, click on "Browse" on the Preset Folder navigation pane and just drag my preset folder into the presented User Presets folder.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Because the left and right are tuned differently I just made a separate instance for each so 3 octave could be 72 instances. If you manage 2 more karplus patches you're there.

Maybe it's time to dual weald? Or change classes?

That's true, when I listen to the tracks each month now I'm scared by the richness of sounds and mixes.
