Best bass enhancement plugin

What's good? Have only tried R Bass and found it underwhelming. I do like Waves Pusher which has a bass boost module but as it's a multiband plugin, it also effects phase quite significantly which isn't always ideal... Looking to add some subtle harmonics and saturation to the low end, transparent as possible but with more control than R Bass offers. Any and all suggestions welcome.

Nice, thanks. Does this colour the sound or cause any phase shift?

Your problem has nothing to do which plugin you use. It’s a mixing problem.swilow11 wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2024 6:09 am What's good? Have only tried R Bass and found it underwhelming. Wanting to enhance the low-end with harmonics and saturation is now a mixing problem? Are you ok?

Hey Aleksey, why does the highpass in the Tubey sat doesnt sound like highpass? It sounds like an inverse-drive when i solo the Sat, legacy mode works fine tho.

I use LFMaxPunch for non-pitched stuff (like kicks) and Melda MBassador for pitched stuff, for adding SUBHarmonics.
For adding harmonics to bass, i use Voxengo Powershaper or ToneProjects Kelvin most of the time.
But frankly on my basses, Voxengo Powershaper sits 90% of the time. It's just so good with basses. Be it electric bass guitars, synths, whatever. it just bites into it and pushes it out of the mix. love it

The "problem" I'm trying to solve is my lack of a bass enhancement plugin.Daimonicon wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2024 9:52 amYour problem has nothing to do which plugin you use. You can set crossover to -6 dB which is equivalent to "no coloration".swilow11 wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2024 8:31 amNice, thanks. Does this colour the sound or cause any phase shift?

It is a high-pass, but not steep, so sounds more like saturation adjustment. But I think this is nice, does not sound hollow, blends better.jtsterays wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2024 10:02 amHey Aleksey, why does the highpass in the Tubey sat doesnt sound like highpass? It does sound nice, just curious because i was trying to copy Rbass. Also why no linear phase mode?Aleksey Vaneev wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2024 1:22 pmIt is a high-pass, but not steep, so sounds more like saturation adjustment. I do not prefer linear-phase crossovers and filters - they sound a bit boxy. LP is good for sample rate conversion. If you need minimal phase coloration just set to -6 dB crossover - it technically creates a "wire" when summed after splitting, so it's a kind of "linear-phase" mode.jtsterays wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2024 2:23 pm It does sound nice, just curious because i was trying to copy Rbass. Really loving Melda MBassador. (Two sub oscillators? OK)
