Brainworx Aura Reverb

This is a very interesting release to me. Brainworx have always had pretty terrible reverbs. Definitely a gap in their output.
Izotope had the Exponential Audio reverbs, and progressed this with their Neoverb plug in.
NI have some fairly decent reverb tech too with Raum and replica. Btw Raum seems to be given away in the Komplete Start Free download.
It's seems to me that bx may have the most active dev team, when people complain that NI are not doing dev work. So it wouldn't surprise me if we see more of this type of thing, which appears to be some of the NI and Izotope technology wrapped into the bx plug in framework.
And for the plug in itself... It really sounds pretty good to me. Has some of the Raum type sound, good for large spaces, but also has its own kinda sound too along older trance type reverbs..
edit: have to say the added controls for filters, drive, duck, gate and freeze also look very useful and fun...!
edit: 19.99 if you own bx_rooms - result

yeah, it was too cheap to pass up as the demo does sound pretty good.
mixed reactions on first use though... it didn't work at all on the first sound I tried which was a type of horn sound.
i also tried in on some more trancy chords and sounds, and it does quite a nice airy grainy thing - quite a nice modern sounding spacial effect.
There are five mode, and a lot of controls so I didn't try everything yet. I'm feeling it won't replace any of my main reverbs, but does have a couple of tricks that will help for certain things.

Isn't this just a reskinned BX_RooMS?

Hi!

You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

They are a family now, AFAIK, haven't been following. I mean - PA, Izotope and NI. Definitely too much overlap, don't know if that is necessary. And by making everything dirt cheap, they are killing the rest of the market.
They should restructure, drop a few brand names, drop many of their plugins, and move on with the important stuff - like adding up all the features in Massive X that are not there. E.g. the browser. Another reverb? Why?!

Really interesting feature set here. I can understand the comparison to Raum, though the feature set is unique. Good for ambient, doom, and ambient doom so that pretty much covers my whole domain.
It was $49.99 for me but seems very well worth it.

Did you get presets? Mine came without any. You can usually access them through the dropdown menu in cubase, but nothing here for medb3 wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 7:51 am Sounds good. Raum was the first thing that came to mind when I tried Aura.
Wish Brainworx would include a preset manager.
