Look at that, Finneas using a (possibly tweaked) factory preset to make a creative sounding track... who would have thought

'voyage' is a good set, hope people keep at this. i find myself using presets all the time but generally tweaking things to my needs (am more into making music than programming sounds).
we need the preset makers
we need the preset makers

Voyage - 50 new Twin 3 presets for cinematic, ambient, downtempo, and electronica. Includes beautiful analogue keys, inspiring pads and soundscapes, deep gritty basses, lively synth leads with motion, and spacey melodic arpeggios.

I am about to pull the trigger on this baby. Please talk me out of it. Any previous buyers with buyers’ remorse?
What I like
- It sounds good? Quite convincing analogue sound. Filters are good? Read some comments from people who didn’t think volcano filters are that good, but I like what I am hearing and I am a repulsive analogue purist with extreme levels of ocd.
- I like the GUI. Like that it doesn’t look like a photo of a vintage synth but something specifically designed for computer screen.
- I really like the effects. I think they sound really good. I imagine they used pro-r and timeless technology
What I don’t like / not sure about
- LFOS - they are shite… not the function, just how you shape them
- aliasing - I haven’t detected any audible but would be curious if the KVR Aliasing commando have tried pushing this to its limits at audio rate modulation, filter fm etc. Does it break up?
My demo ended yesterday yay (demoed it on a new computer so this was the second attempt). Still undecided

I really like Twin, definitely an unusual instrument in terms of its interface, but if you're used to the FabFilter way, it's easy to adjust. Sound quality seems great to me.
