Best Pitch shifter VST ("Realtime")

I'm looking for a good, clean pitch shifter plugin to be used as an insert effect specifically, I know the best results typically come from "offline" processing with something like Triumph or IRCAM TS2 et cetera, but im looking for something you can put as in insert. Latency doesn't matter so much
I've been using Elastique Pitch by zplane which is solid, but for some reason this past year this plugin has crashed my ableton and reset its settings like none other. I've also used waves soundshifter, but I don't really wanna deal with waves anymore.
Which ones are your favorites around?
Bonus if it also has formant/timbre shifting!

Abletons native pitch shifting algos are just as good as 3rd party. And iirc it can also do formants and more. It's one of the areas ableton shines imo.

they are good, as i've stated I'm looking for something to use as an insert (for example to pitch down reverb sends etc etc)EfreetiSultan wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 12:17 pm Abletons native pitch shifting algos are just as good as 3rd party. Aegean Pitchproof is a pretty good free one, for a whammy pedal style effect. It's what I usually end up using with my bass guitar.

generally you can - the ableton warp modes though are non-destructive, but you have to apply them to the sample. you're not flexible where the pitch shift happens - in a lot of cases this is more than enough and i use that a lot, but I'd like to build plugin chains and inserts where pitch shifting happens after some processing, or in parallel etc.EfreetiSultan wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 1:40 pmOh OK I just assumed you could abletons effects as inserts.worldfever wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 1:03 pmthey are good, as i've stated I'm looking for something to use as an insert (for example to pitch down reverb sends etc etc)EfreetiSultan wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 12:17 pm Abletons native pitch shifting algos are just as good as 3rd party. Yes, I do, but its not very good, extremely granular. good for some sound effects but very far from a clean pitch shifterjules99 wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 2:24 pmYou do know of Ableton's Shifter audio effect?worldfever wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 1:47 pmgenerally you can - the ableton warp modes though are non-destructive, but you have to apply them to the sample. you're not flexible where the pitch shift happens - in a lot of cases this is more than enough and i use that a lot, but I'd like to build plugin chains and inserts where pitch shifting happens after some processing, or in parallel etc.EfreetiSultan wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 1:40 pmOh OK I just assumed you could abletons effects as inserts.worldfever wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 1:03 pmthey are good, as i've stated I'm looking for something to use as an insert (for example to pitch down reverb sends etc etc)EfreetiSultan wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 12:17 pm Abletons native pitch shifting algos are just as good as 3rd party. Does it have no Mix control? Correct me if I'm wrong but the classic Whammy is about 50/50? And this reminds me a bit of the Electro Harmonix Pitchfork pedal except that has a Mix knob and does both directions at once. But I haven't demoed it yet. Maybe it does. Just going off the photo on the site.

Yes, Pitch Monster works pretty well. You could also take a look at Manipulator from Polyverse Music. Even though it’s aimed at vocal processing, I use it on all kinds of source material.Caine123 wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 8:53 pm im very happy with PITCHMONSTER from Devious Machine. easy to use and great quality. i dunno if there are better ones.

The Mix control is in the header bar, between the INPUT and OUTPUT controls.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 8:14 pm Does it have no Mix control?
