I can only see v1.8.3.....both from the above link and from within my account. Am i doing something wrong?

Post

Will you add the VCV filters to this in the future, as well as the clean SVF one like in Ableton? Those VCV filters are state of the art.

Andy was probably really happy with his release and in his enthousiam forgot to update the website.
If you copy the link for 1.83 and change it to 1.86 there is indeed a newer one to download.

Maybe the installer could be updated to, there is a bit of copy and paste from the glue:
Please note that the VST2 versions of plugins no longer have a “64” after their name eg: “The Glue 64.dll” is now just called “The Glue.dll”, so please check your plugin folder and manually delete the “64” named version when you update.

Yes, I didn't update the web page, which I've now done, sorry! You can just change the number in the download to grab any available version.

I won't add the A-124 filter since there I already added it as the WSP filter, but made a few changes to allow for better self oscillation across the frequency range. I will add the CF-100 at some point, but also do a "proper" 4 pole high pass version instead of the pole mixing version that is in VCV. This is what I've done for other filters like the SHR, JPR, and PRD, all of which have dedicated 4 pole low pass and 4 pole high pass circuits.

For reference, in most Moog products the high pass filter is just the low pass filter with the input subtracted to make a 1 pole high pass filter, not a 4 pole one. This idea can be extended, and was done in the Oberheim x-pander, which summed multiple outputs from a 4 pole low pass cascade to form other responses, but these responses "break down" with drive to not actually filter the signal as a band pass or high pass anymore. This has its own sound, but in The Drop I've kept all the responses as pure as possible with true high pass circuits.

Also, what is the use case for the "Clean SVF"? Do you want a filter with lower CPU?

I can't promise exact timeframes, but all the features and included content with the final release is done. I'm fixing a few UI bugs this coming week, and if all goes well I can do a final release, if not then another few weeks or possibly more depending on how the bug fixing goes.

It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?

Yea, just a basic low cpu with no non linearity/ self osc filter.

Hi Both. Thanks a lot for that. Got it now.

Not used either this or The Scream for a while so had to reauthorise both, quite lucky as The Scream rendered the authorisation login screen correctly whereas The Drop looked like this:

(Using the layout of The Scream authorisation screen I could 'blindly' find the two required fields to fill in and authorise The Drop!)

This was in Windows 11 and using Reaper
