A little test ride with Vital showcasing a bunch of presets I have built for vital over time ...

I think Vital is my go to synth for this round ... what would you recommend me to use as a complementary synth? Is there any allowed-in-OSC synth that covers terrain Vital is not covering?
Would for instance Zebralette 3 be a candidate? No experience with it ... is it cool?

Anything which comes with the free version of the synth is fair game.] Peter:H [ wrote: Fri Aug 02, 2024 5:51 pm @Richard
Just for paranoias sake: If I choose to use Vital, am I allowed to use ...
a.) the Factory Samples coming with the Synth, for instance a sample called "River"
b.) the text-2-speech capability?
Thanks!
Imported samples, paid for features or sound sets are not allowed.

Hi, I´m new in this forum.I was looking for a Solina free instrument and I´ve found this
https://plugins4free.com/plugin/792/ (https://plugins4free.com/plugin/792/)
I have read in a old post that download it from outside of creator break the License Agreement (viewtopic.php?p=4007546#p4007546)
Could I use it for this challenger?

But that was 14 years ago and the Elektrostudio package has always been free as far as I know, so I'm sure you can. WOK also has two excellent string machines on his website, Cromina/Estrima, or B.Serrano Chorus MkII, or Krakli S3 series.Bacteriostatico wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 10:28 am Hi, I´m new in this forum.

In general, welcome!) Under the main message on 1st page there is a link to Discord, the most active communication takes place there. I'm wondering why the String Machine and what you want to take second?

Oh, I really love Krakli synthesizers and I'll be waiting for your track to hear it in action! Although I have this thought: Arminator is already good enough for the sounds of string machines, so the second synthesizer could be additive or physical modeling or something else, Krakli has several too this would expand the range of sounds available to you. But, of course, decide for yourself)Bacteriostatico wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 2:44 pmThanks, I will take a look!WOK also has two excellent string machines on his website, Cromina/Estrima, or B.Serrano Chorus MkII, or Krakli S3 serie

And also, when I save a sketch with some old synthesizers in a DAW and then load it again, sometimes the synthesizer resets current preset to the first factory one. Check this moment for yourself so as not to lose valuable sounds you found!

I'm using a Windows laptop for this project for the first time in about 20 years. I chose Waveform as DAW and I'm struggling a lot with VST, VST3, 32bit, 64bit, ... I can´t load any 32bit VST.
Any recommendation to solve it?

My first advice is that you will get a lot more advice in Discord and much faster.Bacteriostatico wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 6:04 pm I'm using a Windows laptop for this project for the first time in about 20 years. Second tip: if you are considering changing DAW, the best free solutions will be the Reaper free trial, Cakewalk and probably ZRythm.
Third tip: if you want to stay on Waveform, I do not know if there is a bridge there and how it works.

Just a matter of interest: what's stopping you from using 64bit vsts?Bacteriostatico wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 6:04 pm I'm using a Windows laptop for this project for the first time in about 20 years. Sorry guys for this nitpicking rant but wanted to make sure we are all on the same page as to what is ok under the rules as stated.
So my understanding of the rules is you must only use 1 or 2 Freeware synth and or effects plugins which would mean ALL Open-source plugins would be prohibited as they are not propriety and so are released under a different licence.
I would say we are also by my logic at least you should be allowed to use a DAW synth but only those that are included in the free version of the software (assuming this exists).
If my understanding is incorrect, may I suggest that the rules be clarified as Freeware /= Free Opensource?
I would also think that any early access synths we have used are also ineligible to be used as they are or intended to be paid at some stage but we were given a licence for free. This may also make any pay-what-you-want plugins intelligible as well depending on if you see them as paid plugins that you chose to pay $0 for or the opposite where it is free and you chose to support the developer.
