@Naillerz78

The neural modeler is good imo, you try should that it's free and not bloated

https://www.neuralampmodeler.com/

I've tried an even bought a couple things that use it. Haven't tried any amp models tho.

Edit: I see someone else mentioned sansamp. The joyo versions are cheap enough to give em a whack. Just order some off Amazon and send em back if you hate em.
Thanks. Sansamp is always mentioned as a “classic” so .. what’s the model name of Joyo one.
I see a Sansamp DLA triple pedal at my fav 2nd hand gear shop. Why do u say a good punk sound specifically - does it sound like a RAT or something?

If it sounded flat and dull I reckon that’s just cos how it sounds not his skill in setting up/mixing
Rhett Shull's UAFX video is better than Andy's. I didn't post it for obvious reasons. ;)
Post away dude I wanna see/hear the tonez :tu:
I just think RS is a pretty crapola player myself.
And prob just jealous of these influencer types haha he does waffle tho. I gotta watch him on 1.5 speed fast forward haha

I like this guys vidz he makes cheap gear sound great too :D

It sounds really good not knocking it per se.
Just how it may perform turned up with a Beast
behind a big ,loud AF drum kit going Bosh! crash! BOOM!BOOM!
That was also the problem to overcome laid out in my OP. Getting great full-sounding guitar tonez in a rehearsal w a drummer. A lot of ‘real ‘amps don’t cut it even. esp the shitty cheap “rehearsal room rental’ amps.
I’ve tried a LOT and always run into that issue from the get go.
Even w big older modelling/hybrid amps like a Vox VT 100W 2x12” (cheap shit tbh)

Maybe a stereo tube combo rig L&R of the Beast is the only way. 2 half stacks maybe :hihi:
Or one big tube amp + one big Bass amp :tu:
Blow HIS ears out that f*cker. :hyper:

Or asking The Beast -“ erm .. could u please play .. softly dude? Do u have those ..brushes perhaps?” :scared:

Dis me wit the big stereo rig after playing first song w drummer next session :hihi:

Post

Ok quick recap
Current Drummer I met recently has a studio w 5 combos.
Blackstar (nope) 2 fenders tube amps, crate 50w blues amp, Marshall DSL40 -something,
I’m going for big, nice Blues-Punk Rock & Classic Rock guitar tonez (see below bands) to compete w big loud drummer.

For next session I’ll go stereo into 2 x Fenders w pedals I’m sure that will be Rockin :tu: then problem almost solved short-term for this project (hopefully ) whilst I have use of his studios amps.

But .. project may fizzle out as those things do.
I may auditon w other drummers or bands in the Near future and want to have a fly -rig for future sessions elsewhere.:tu:

My gear list atm;
Guitars
LP special w p90s guitar
Aria LP copy w 2 HBs ( not my fave)
Tele copy.

Amps
Roland microcube
Fender frontman 25R solid state.

Pedals
Dunlop Wah
Danelectro FAB fuzz
Aria stereo flanger (v handy)
Joyo analog Delay
Joyo British sound
Joyo ACTone
Boss DS1
Mooer nano green mile TS style
Tuner (lol)

What pedals should I use to dirt-up 2 fenders
For a blues-punk rock sound eg white stripes, Stooges, Jon Spencer (Plastic Fang album 8))
and now we’ve added songs from Rolling Stones, The Cribs and early era The Smiths (new wave punkish) and maybe RHCP. It’s gonna get funky. :hyper: :tu:

Do I need more specific pedals like a RAT or SansAmp (and why)
Shit I just realised I don’t have a chorus to play the Smiths :dog: but flanger may do.

Great discussion so far.
Thanks !!! :D :tu:

maybe an Ibanez tube screamer distortion
and Wampler Nirvana chorus

-These are 2 I'd like to get,
they are not particularly your style as I don't know it that well,
but they sound real good

The Boss MT-2 is one I have that will find a place imo

Proco Rat wouldn't hurt, already had a mention
I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

I don't even own a tuner... Tho I kinda want one of those peterson strobe tuners.

How can u tune?
8D
I have a Korg CA and Boss TU-2 in hardware,
a couple of soft ones.
I always just use the Korg, need another for a spare

I guess I do have eurorack tuner, which is useful for eurorack, otherwise I can tune by ear, that's what happens after playing the guitar for 40 yrs maybe.

Ok - I have a Mooer Green Mile nano TS pedal , should do for Tubescreamer sounds.
I’ll get a cheap chorus today.

The Rat does seem to be key for Punk tones for some reason. I’ll check out copies today also.

This is where I shop for used gear;
And I always sort by cheapest first  :D
I get good bargains on semi-busted gear.
I don’t mind if a pedal switch is stuck in ‘always on’ position for example.
Have a quiz if ur bored …cool shop. This is the pedals page. They got everything that Uncle John need as Little Richard once sang. And I’m gonna have me some, have some fun tonite.. woooo! :hyper:

I think my tuner is a Peterson.
I bought it decades ago specifically to use with a Washburn Idol guitar that had the special “Buzz Feiten Tuning System” dis tuner had special mode to tune it. Cool tuner and still working.

nice one,
that's wonderful- I will never be able to do it
I can tune, but only relative to another note

a 440 is just a random value, nothing special about any pitch
-once is equally tempered in the 12 and power or log
since you can start anywhere, I just can't recognize a pitch

I find the relation of pitches to be more important than where u start
I thought everyone could do it tbh, but I tried to teach my ex landlord a bunch of times
to use the harmonics to tune even, he could never do it.

I can do everything by ear, without that I'd be up the creek without a paddle since I'm
too lazy to learn to read music. I can tho and I understand how it works, I can't do it it
fast enough to play along with. If I've never heard something before, there's no way
I can reproduce it.

Anyway, it comes in handy for playing guitar hero, I am devastatingly good at that game.

Truth.
It’s an interesting thing that re tuning.
I recall at one point realising nearly all my favourite bands usually tuned to Eb on records. :o
And when I sing , lowest bass note i can hit is Eb.
I think my ears are tuned to that pitch.
When I “remember “ songs in my head and then play the record .. I’m always a semi tone flat vs record pitch. :scared:
Make of that what u will! spooky stuff.

I can follow a rhythm,
but not so well a melody

I don't have much natural aptitude,
but I listen to so much music,
I'm really sold on it

I too can read, but not speedily also like u,
Pekbro mate

I just jam to keys that I need a tuner to set
