What nonsense have you spitting since you quoted me? Which part needs to be sketched for you? Tell me where did I mention or start debating what the console emulation is - or is not?jens wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2024 9:34 amI think you guys need to do some reading up on what a console emulation actually is (i.e. what the general consenus on the definition of said term is).kmonkey wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2024 5:28 am Their mixer visually resembles SSL Mixer. One has to be a complete brick not to realize it. The DSP running in that mixer and how close it is to the real hardware mixer is another story. But to say this isn't an SSL model at least when it comes to mixing workflow - how dumb!
Hint: it's neither a compressor nor is it an EQ.
(Which isn't to say that console emulation aren't sometines including one or the other or both of these.)
And the "DSP running in the mixer" in Reason is simple summing, as in just about every other DAW.
And yeah: one has to be an "absolute brick" indeed to not realize this - we can agree on that.![]()
You are hinting at what exactly? And tell me where did you start fantasizing about summing? Do you need a friend to talk to or something?
Read again, I said their mixer visually represents SSL. I also said their DSP is up for debate. If you think their DSP in the mixer is only summing you somehow failed to notice they also have EQ and compressor there attached to the signal flow? Or wait are you going to reinvent tap water now? It is not EQ and it is not the compressor. It is what? Something meta some deep shit you have going on there. Incubus Inception. You speeeshull man.
If you think this is a stretch of imagination to say they have SSL inspired mixer, you'll have to bend reality really far away to generate your response which most likely will be another set of nonsense.
Either way, I am giving you an award in the form of "largest biscuit" in this thread. You certainly deserved it.
