Anyone using this? Thoughts?
Would it take the place of something like Tone Projects Unisum in M/S mode? Or would it be a good replacement Pro-L or similar?
Any tips or tricks?

If you have Pro-L I would just ignore all other limiters and call it a day.

I do have Pro-L, but I'm a big fan of Mid/Side processing in mastering, so wondering if this one brings something to the table. Currently I use Unisum in mid/side to control dynamics and gain up the sides. Also EQ and saturate the mids and sides differently.
In theory I could create a M/S matrix in Bitwig, then a split the Mid chain with filters to split the Mid high and low, but this seems way more simple, and also would take care of any phase concerns/corrections. But the lack of enthusiasm around the internets makes me wonder if there's any value in it.

What is it that you require a limiter to do exactly?Raddler1 wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2024 2:36 pmA true explorer of possibilities you are.Morty-C-137 wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2024 4:42 am If you have Pro-L I would just ignore all other limiters and call it a day.

FabFilter's fanboys are the worst that has happened to this forum in years, every single thread ruined. And I don't understand their fixation with Brainworx, frankly. If their plugins are so inferior, why bother?

I personally think theres more to be had from m/s EQ in terms of making a sense of space or stage width.billinder33 wrote: Tue Aug 06, 2024 5:09 pm Anyone using this? Thoughts?

m/s for compression can only really add width the the highs, if the mix has a solid centre and only things like hats, cymbals and verbs are on the sides.
I also wonder a bit what's the point of m/s in a limiter. I kinda agree with the person that said if you already have a good limiter you're probably fine. I don't think there's much difference between the top few limiters tbh.
My favourite for m/s EQ these days is Crave 2, which sounds great and is easy to use.
