expressive e Osmose users - what DAW to edit performed MPE data?

I am pondering getting an Osmose, not least because I've wanted to play with Eigen's software for 20 years now.
As I've never touched an Osmose I can easily guess that it sends all the expected MPE data, but equally an imagine trying to re-arrange a recorded performance in any DAW is going to be a pain.
Do any Osmose owners have any advice on what DAW (on Windows) makes these MPE editing tasks easiest? I own many MPE controllers, but none of them are especially compliant with the standard.
I own Tracktion, Bitwig and Studio One but will certainly buy something else if it will make my life easier.

I use my Linnstrument with Bitwig and find the editing of MPE performances pretty intuitive... anyway, I'm definitely more limited by my skill than by Bitwig's ability to capture my performances!
I've only recently started getting into using the poly-grid and have already started getting interesting results. Until now, I was mostly using the Linnstrument to control hardware synths.

I completely forgot you have a Linnstrument. I wish I was your neighbor. I got Bitwig explicitly because I hear the MPE editing was good and I don't even know what the poly-grid is yet but will immediately find out and learn that <3
It only just now occurred to me that MPE controllers can likely be input into the Osmose's onboard sounds. It's been a damned long time since I owned anything aside from a Roland midi sax that had it's own onboard sounds.

There's so much creative stuff you can do with a Linnstrument, MPE, Bitwig's modulation system and Bitwig Instruments (plus some of the CLAP plugins now). It's not just "expressive playing".justin3am wrote: Fri Aug 02, 2024 3:05 am I use my Linnstrument with Bitwig and find the editing of MPE performances pretty intuitive... anyway, I'm definitely more limited by my skill than by Bitwig's ability to capture my performances!![]()

I have an Osmose and a Linnstrument. Bitwig is fine for editing MPE Data. Live is a bit better for editing because you can see the different MPE parameters at the same time. But Live does not record each notes midi channel which for my uses is a showstopper.runagate wrote: Fri Aug 02, 2024 1:51 pm I completely forgot you have a Linnstrument. I wish I was your neighbor. Beyond editing MPE data, Bitwig is unrivaled as a DAW for MPE because of it's per voice modulation system. The Grid is your friend

Sorry I didn't actually reply but I appreciated your posts and did in fact order an Osmose. My worry is something akin to that post where some bug in a Waldorf synth makes MPE all wiggy with a Linnstrument and apparently any other MPE controller. I watched a ton of Bitwig videos and apparently no one I can find ever records MPE data and then tries to move it around on the timeline or various other editing functions, and no one seems to understand the Haken synth much but I doubt I'll find programming it anything but a delight.pdxindy wrote: Fri Aug 02, 2024 2:13 pmI have an Osmose and a Linnstrument. Well, the Osmose quickly became the second best music purchase I ever made, after the Erae Touch.
Much to my great surprise much of what I immediately thought should be added to its features has been just now:
Making creating new patches easier is certainly the best future feature they could add.
