If it’s a feature of the free version, then my understanding is the answer would be yes; otherwise no.

I think I'm going with Vital and Surge. As for Surge....it's been a while since I've used it but I had made some pretty cool presets for it a million years ago. Somewhere since, I installed SurgeXT, which is great!! BUT.... Now when I bring up the old Surge, the right side of the gui is chopped off. My presets were saved in Reaper's built-in fx window, not a Surge preset location. Anyone else experience the "chopped" gui and is there a quick fix? I don't want to have to resave old presets into a SurgeXT folder of sorts just to be able to tweak the old Surge presets to fit.

I would advise not to use any Vitallica lyrics. Lars is a female dog!! He will get you dq'd in a heartbeat....

I've got an intro.....it's all old Vital presets from init, plus some new ones also from init. Once I get my old Surge presets working in new Surge, look out 17th place! In case anyone is wondering, I only do init. I'm like the movie "50 First Dates"....https://soundcloud.com/the-never-scene/ ... al_sharing

It is a feature in the free version (though limited in the number of requests you can make per day). But there's also the issue that wavetables are not to be used for the effect of sample playback. Unrestricted use of TTWT was allowed in the Vital round, but this was a special relaxation of that rule. If you're using it as a source of single-cycle waveforms, I think you're okay. If you're using it to produce lyrics, I don't think it's allowed under the standard rules.

I have this vital patch that I think sounds REALLY great except it has a glide on it that I can't get rid of. I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on how to fix this? Understand it's not a simple matter of turning glide off or legato. It's using the delay effect to produce sound like some did with Cherry SEM.
Additionally I would need to keytrack the cutoff in the delay, open it up for higher notes and maybe slightly keytrack the low pass in the EQ. I made a one instance per note version where I adjusted them to give the higher notes more "metal". But arming so many tracks is really not ideal.
Just FYI using the comb filter keytracked in vital sounds OK. But it absolutely does not sound as good.

Seems like the note change is not instant, as if there is parameter smoothing - I can't get rid of it. If you delay the exciter by 50ms and kill the feedback with a fast envelope just prior to each new note it can be reduced a bit, but it's still there (and that also introduces 50ms of latency which is not ideal....)empphryio wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 5:55 pm I have this vital patch that I think sounds REALLY great except it has a glide on it that I can't get rid of. I have a query regarding the second synth for drums.
Are drum synths allowed like for instance Sampleson's Sub or the oldie but goodie Drumatic 3 by e-phonic or maybe even free romplers like Functionloops' Tech House Drums plugin?
I guess since romplers are sample based they would be a no go but I can see no reason for drum synths to not be allowed but I have to ask before committing to one.
Thanks in advance for any clarification.

I have to agree with exactly what you said: sample-based drum plugins use samples and would not be allowed, but drum synths that use synthesis should be fine.phankiejankie303 wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 12:40 pm Are drum synths allowed ... sample based they would be a no go but I can see no reason for drum synths to not be allowed but I have to ask before committing to one.
