Is this synth still being developed? Last update was from november 2023.

Good things take time, yes Parawave is planning on still developing it from what he's written on the website.

Well the roadmap itself was last updated 20 November 2022, which was even before the last update to the software itself.trusampler wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2024 6:34 pmhttps://parawave-audio.com/rapid_roadmap

Anybody really believing we will see any bigger updates is only lying to himself...
The updates the last couple of years were a joke compared to what was done before and time distances between this last 2 or 3 tiny maintenance updates grows continuously...
This thing is mostly dead and probably you´ll won´t hear anything new from them ever again apart from another tiny compatibility update eventually!
Tone2 was much more active after telling developement is done and had the balls to state it officially than parawave is doing silently...
It´s still a great thing but any hopes of bigger updates is self betraying imho...

As much as I love Rapid and was a bit defending devs in the past, I also lost hope now - I've tried to contact them via their webpage several times, also via IG - but no answer at all for months now.
Too bad - but, there are plenty of excellent synths out there - Avenger, Icarus, SynthMaster, PhasePlant...
I will keep using Rapid, but you never know which next update of Windows or DAW will make Rapid stop working.

I wrote to them recently (in May) and they said that there is one update in the queue that already includes MSEG, but it needs work on various other things.

Don't worry, we're heading towards christmas. Then a small alibi-update will be released to convince potential buyers

Exactly - Parawave have been doing this sneaky very small update at year end, for a few years now, to con potential buyers that they are still working on this synth!!! Pretty devious if you ask me.MirkoVanHauten wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 10:55 am Don't worry, we're heading towards christmas. Then a small alibi-update will be released to convince potential buyers

wasnt the dev also acting like a small kid (i dunno the right word for it now) when criticizing him/the product and closed the topic? this is where i began to doubt this whole situation. and look here, nothing new and MSEGS take so many years, wow. even no new official xps?
what im worried most is the sh*t online activation, i dont trust these guys.

Well, then we only have a few more years to wait...
I'll believe it when I see it!
And I think everybody has a good reason to fear it... if there is a product in future where this might happen, it´s Rapid!
So I've got out of the habit of using it... it´s too risky to rely on it!
