yea, it works fine. It won't delete with an older version though, so, just a heads up..

When I'm in "show composite track" mode and undo an action, RC suddenly exits that mode and returns to track view mode. I don't want RC exits that mode when I undo.

Random switches in T.Z window still exits.

Selecting instruments from a long horizontal list of a SF file is a bit time-consuming. Especially when RC doesn't save the location of the list when an instrument is changed and the user has to go down from top to down every time he needs a new instrument. If the list is vertical with all instrument names being shown on it will makes the selection of instruments a lot easier.

The other similar problem is when I hide "Envelopes" and undo an action and see the "Envelopes" is shown. Envelopes take up a lot of space on my monitor and I'm obliged to hide them but with every undo, they are appeared.

Previewing notes on the piano roll and also on the whole roll would be so helpful. Your previously added "virtual keyboard" has vertical view but piano roll is horizontal. Previewing notes on the vertical virtual keyboard and again applying them on the horizontal piano roll is a bit time consuming and cause errors sometimes. If there is a way to preview notes on the whole piano roll (not just the black and white keys but on the whole roll) before adding them by note pencil would be super helpful.

Yes, I am thinking about this for a while that the vertical keyboard should be made more capable. I thought that adding a separate horizontal keyboard will be useful. I don't like that the vertical piano keyboard is displayed in the track header. Maybe a vertical lane could be added between the header and track contents. And the current drag/zoom/restore functionality will have to use modifier keys, e.g. shift.

Yea, just only because I have been down this road myself, the biggest issues I had was not only do you have to sync the two panels with mouse scrolling, but, also resizing. Re-drawing gets a bit tricky.. but doable..

But, yes, would be nice to have mouse over drawing and, for example, clicking a key selects the row of notes, or plays that note from the loaded instrument.. etc.. or what have you..

RapidComposer v5.3b10 is available!

Audio to MIDI conversion arrived in RapidComposer! The conversion is done locally, on your computer. In addition the workflow was improved if you work with audio files: audio file and data format support extended (WAV/AIFF/FLAC/MP3/OGG) and direct drag-and-drop for audio files is possible! (Some of these features will not be present in v5.3 but remains in beta versions.)

Improvements:

• Audio to MIDI conversion implemented (select an audio phrase, then look for "Convert selected audio to MIDI" in the inspector)
• Any WAV/AIFF/FLAC/MP3/OGG audio files can be imported
• Drag audio files directly to tracks
• It is possible to drop MIDI or audio on the empty area where there are no tracks to add a new track
• Fixed: imported key-switch (locked) notes are not displayed on the guitar tab
• Fixed: UNDO will not jump out of the composite track view

Hi Attila. I wanted to go straight to the rave reviews)) But on Mac OS the command - Convert audio phrase to midi - the program crashes!

I suggest that when the conversion finishes and is applied to the track, use a default instrument for the midi..

I recorded an audio track from some EZKeys output and dropped it into the latest RC beta 10. The audio comes in and plays and sounds correct. However, when I select that audio in RC and right click and select "Convert selected audio to MIDI..." it opens but is cut off. Some kind of sizing issue so I have no way to click on an OK button or whatever performs the process. I assume this is a bug?
