What analog synths are left for Roland to model?

Is it just the Alpha Junos and JX-8P? Feels like we have most of the mono synths and analog polys, and everything after 1985 is digital.

Edit - forgot the Jupiter 6!

I just got an email from RC saying that their Space Echo is $199. What a deal.

I bet Behringer can make a hardware Space Echo for that :D

Seriously, the days of 200 bucks for a single effect are long over (if they ever existed), I got most of the UAD effects and synths (dozens of then) including a very good Space Echo for 99 bucks!
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Yeah I have too many delays already. I bought several from Plugin Alliance during sales that they had and a few other sites.

I've cubase and I can't find anything missing from the stock delays? Monodelay, stereo delay, ping pong and multitap. And there's tape distortion built in on every channel including sends.. If that's what u want.
Why pay 200 for a delay it's absurd. Ludicrous

they keep making fun more and more and what a disrespectful company. the journey continues :D

:tu: They keep bringing out what seems to be more and more disrespectful pricing to their customers. Valhalla destroys any FX Roland makes for 1/4 of Roland’s prices.

They seem to be shooting themselves in the head.

Okay I try not to complain too much and admittedly do have a good time with the D-50 etc but 200 bucks, oh my stars hahahahaha

Let's see, AudioThing's got a clone for $40 right now, Arturia's is $100 (and was $50 just yesterday), IK's got one for $100 too, Softube's got something similar for $60 right now, Echoboy is... okay Echoboy is also $200 right now but lol all the same.

Post

Cherry Audio has one for $19 and Arturia’s is $49, both are on Sweetwater’s site.

I mean, like, who doesn't have a Space Echo clone at this point. I've been drunk before -- maybe I accidentally wrote one without even noticing.

You can get it & all the other IK plugs for $49.99 right now

UAD one you can probably pick up for $29 at some or cheaper in one of the many bundles they do

Black Rooster version is only £16 right now

It's obvious Roland don't really want people buying perpetual licenses and prefer people giving them a yearly sub for Cloud

Post

I think I have 3 Space Echoes without really wanting one. They just came in bundles (FX Collection 2, UAD Signature Collection etc).

Post

Of course you can use the Space Echo with the Sound Canvas plugin and it sounds awesome. Oh wait they pulled the plug on that plugin lol

In all seriousness, $199 what kind of crack are they smoking? I have three maybe four Space Echo plugins, I didn't deliberately buy a single unit, all of them came in a bundle of some kind

Post

It's a new marketing strategy.
From: Roland designs the future
To: Roland has completely lost the plot

Or how to when you hold all the IP cards and still become the bottom of the barrel
