Is this feature not available in SE?
It's a bit of a pain in the arse to workaround when you're as indecisive as me. I might switch back to Cubasis.
I've tried drag and drop from Stylus RMX, RMIV and PhatmatikPro and none of them work.

Having just upgraded from Cubasis 5.0 to Cubase SE, I can't seem to drag and drop midi files from an instrument into the sequencer.
Is this feature not available in SE?

I wish it was fixed in version 2. It's 'supposed' to work in SX 3.

yet it works in Cubasis 5.0 (and 4.0 if I remember correctly...). Ho hum, I can work in tandem I guess - I know I can import Cubasis tracks so I'll survive.-

I only use Stylus RMX which uses the drag n drop feature and as I only use about 3 MIDI files pr. tune I am not bothered about it. Drag the MIDI file to your folder on e.g the desktop and then import it in cubase SE. Bang, takes 30 sec.
Cypher, I know you make your tunes fast, but 30 sec. ain't gonna make that much difference is it
Of course if you use 20 or 30 MIDI files pr. track I can see the problem.

no, I don't use lots of midi files and I know how to workaround it. It just feels like a step backwards having been used to this in Cubasis. I'm more surprised given that Cubase is supposed to be more advanced that Cubasis. That's all

ok, that makes sense.
It was just that "I might switch back to cubasis" in your first post that I thought was a bit dramatic. Like, the ashtray broke off in my BMW, I'm gonna drive my old Ford Escort now

Cubase SE does seem a bit less user friendly. I've even had the manual out a couple of times 
Everything seems to be one more click away than it was in Cubasis.
I'm sure I'll get used to it.
