I don't like the direction of this, and the fact that Spire 2 doesn't seem to be anywhere on the horizon, and the fact that there are long existing bugs in Spire 1 (like the inability to MIDI learn in the VST3).
Come on, an AI, and even a subscription scheme to use that AI? I have a hard time believing that THAT's what people have been waiting for the whole time.
If anything, then this shows the focus on selling soundsets.

yes, we probably all don't like this direction with AI, but you should understand at least that the guys should service these servers for AI, this is at least, maybe there is something else because of which there will be a fee for AI, well, at least they acted well in relation to users (they will give a certain amount of generation per day)chk071 wrote: Mon Aug 19, 2024 12:27 pm I don't like the direction of this, and the fact that Spire 2 doesn't seem to be anywhere on the horizon, and the fact that there are long existing bugs in Spire 1 (like the inability to MIDI learn in the VST3).

Well, I can only speak from my personal perspective, but, for me, this is a huge disappointment. I always thought that they work on Spire 2 (for years now), and, that we will finally see that, and, especially, full wavetable oscillators with import, at some point, and now they come up with that AI stuff, which is the last thing I would ever use. Bummer.

Thanks for sharing. That sounds indeed as if we are a loooong way from a potential version 2, if it will ever come.
Last time I heard something in that regard in 2017.
I won't hold my breath, or I'll choke.

who knows, maybe before the end of the year there will be another big update, where they will officially present version 2, and AI is coming as an additionchk071 wrote: Mon Aug 19, 2024 12:44 pm Thanks for sharing. after all, version 2 doesn't mean that it should have a new engine and interface

you always have to believe in the good, but I think that version 2 may be released in the next update (along with AI), I don't have such information and another thing is that in addition to AI there will probably be some other functions, maybe they'll add something, like it was with the preset managerchk071 wrote: Mon Aug 19, 2024 1:07 pm Right, but, I don't believe that they will release version 2 anytime soon.
and it could also be that they are probably developing their own engine, there could be a lot of options regarding the new engine
