Not really a Rat clone, but similar...

:I need one now how mucho $?
I like the mix that kept the clean signal in with the fuzzstortion. Sounds like 2 guitars together
And love simple 1 or 2 knob pedals.
Tested a bunch of my old pedals pedals yest with another drummer. the Joyo British sound will go today ,not very useful. Boss DS1 is a gem!
new Joyo Tauren is very useable. ModTone Tremelo great also. Holy choir chorus has limited sounds may return that and get a Boss.
Picking up a ‘Tone City Mickey’ RAT-clone today for $60 yip![]()
is prob not widely knows amongst the general guitarist...
Ideally my pedalboard would look like a bunch of these. ( and preferably all batt-op also) Plus a wah wah & volume.that’d be it.

What’s on your pedalboard for rehearsals / Donner TT/ amps

Yeah true. I been a slow learner in tbh and keep falling into the same traps with marketing buzz/ reviewsUncle E wrote: Sun Aug 18, 2024 11:22 pmIt *can* end. Usually you just need to focus on the ultimate version of what you want and go for it. There aren’t that many kinds of great tones out there, after all. Even with my awesome Tonex + tube bass amp setup, I usually end up dialing in the same few tones.
Ok will buy a Dr Z AC30 clone and end this chase once and for all
So with your setup - you use Tonex for the amp flavour and then stomps also? How well does it take the stomps ?
The thing with Tonex et al ( esp the Nano) for me would be the programming/sequencing of patches for each song in a set list .I defs would not want to be involving a smartphone app in a rehearsal either if that’s a necessity to use.
Have u used in a rehearsal type setting how do you setup for that.. and what genres do u play btw.

I use it the way I use a real amp. I don’t change channels, I always just use the same sound and use pedals for lead tones. If I’m using a distorted sound, I use my volume pot to clean it up. I play church live, rock and blues at home.Have u used in a rehearsal type setting how do you setup for that.. and what genres do u play btw.

Killer. Is that a Vox type
That’s a great result/

That’s pretty impressive u rate it up against a Dr Z.
I hear they are one of the best if not the best of the boutique amps

The last time I played Zep in a guitar store it was "Houses of the Holy" and the staff started singing in a really bad mock Plant voice.Naillerz78 wrote: Sun Aug 18, 2024 9:07 pm

Cranking an amp and playing “ Hot Dog “ usually does it for me …
But seriously. Immigrant Song, The Ocean, Out On The Tiles and Dancing Days in particular are great songs to bust out in a guitar shop.
No one expects Dancing Days.
Or The Song Remains The Same mangled on a 12 string
Or Rock n Roll ..full tilt with all the fills and the solo also![]()
That really wakes up shop staff.

Only to the extent that it has EL84's. I think it's supposed to be a cross between a Vox and a Fender but it just sounds like a brownface Deluxe to me (which I love).
I've been using the ODS Legends a lot lately, although I usually use my own captures of my old Vibrolux and Mark I.What amp models do u use on it btw.

Do you perhaps mean Döner? (which is Turkish for (afaik) something that revolves around itself - Donner on the other hand is German for thunder)

Well, if you'd bring a couple of them I'd think "hell yeah - bring it on - let's hear what you've got!"pekbro wrote: Mon Aug 05, 2024 12:12 am I don't get invited to rehearsals since I have too many pedals. heres some of them that I might want to bring.![]()

, but if you brought to many of them I'd think that
a) you have no real idea what you're doing, what you actually want and how to get there
b) your playing sucks and you know it and try to compensate that way
c) you have way to much money on your hand and falsely believe that spending more will get you there

interested. Tho folks have tried to talk me into it on many occasions, for eurorack,
guitar, keyboards and vocals thank you very much...
*I might get involved in some productions on occasion, that's about all I'm interested in.
Performing has never been an area of interest for me, I'm really only interested in the
technical aspects of music / video production or the artwork. My new neighbor is an
active musician tho, he's already borrowing my gear and trying to talk me into stuff,
so I may get involved in some small scale stage work since I like the visualization and
lighting thing.

Yeah, I got that and I wasn't dead serious either - even if I really meant the point I was trying to make...
I certainly met my fair share of folks who had got a lot more gear than clue... ideally they sober up at some point at which their rig costs only half or a quarter of what they started out with.
