Pitch is automatically lowered from original samples when exporting slices

When exporting slices, the audio is a full octave lower per-slice compared to the original samples and what they sound like in Vice.

It appears I'm not the only one with this problem:

Is this a bug or is there a setting that can keep this from happening?
