Hi there,

Cubase has a very good but "simple" mixer delay plugin that I use for haas fx etc...
Since I've switched to another host that doesn't have a similar plugin, I need a very simplistic inline channel delay that does just that, nothing fancy & has a very small footprint.

I have tons of delay plugins that can do all that already, Voxengo sound delay is perfect for the job but when you have a massive template, the cpu cycles & ram add up, don't need a fancy graphic just need a basic input amount ...delay left/or right side by ...whatever ms.

Hope you guys can help, maybe you coders could code one! :D win7 64bit :tu:

Can't believe there is no simple no frills inline delay plug out there.

Cheers.

Hi king,
I've just searched the database here with "haas". A bunch of effects show up, too many to list, but you could check to see if any fit the bill.
You could also try searching for "psychoacoustic", that might yield more options.
I was going to suggest the Voxengo one, but you've already tried it. What host are you using? Some guys here might be able to help with tricks they've learned. If it's Reaper then I'm sure there's a sample delay type plugin there already :)

Yes what host are you using? It most likely has a channel delay plugin of some kind.
Is Sound Delay running slowly? Have you compared it to any other delays?

Hey guys, thanks for getting back.

Studio One 2.6.4 Professional, just want something like mixerdelay in Cubase really, the voxengo one runs great, but when you have 50+ instances running for such a simple fx ...ram & cpu start to go up, because of the graphics!! just trying to streamline template a bit.

Will look into to haas plugins, but all I want really is a simple delay one side ...very low footprint plugin ....if I could code one I would :)

Cheers guys.

I did a quick search and there aren't many. Sound Delay shouldn't cause a problem, it should be fast enough, but if the interface is slowing you down, might want to close it.

Hi camsr,

OK, like I said nothing wrong with the Voxengo one ...it's not about having them open or not, I "can" run lots of them etc without problems :tu: , ...I just want a smaller hit on my resources for the job it's doing :) I guess a more efficient tool really.

If I disable all instances of Voxengo it free's up about 8-9% cpu & I get a good chunk of ram back, just need a simple "inline" delay plugin really with no fancy graphics.

You got me thinking about reaper & there free plugin set....low & behold I've found something for the job, it's that js plugin with lots of things in it. ..one called time delay or time designer of something, just perfect!!

Cheers guys.

Not familiar with Mixer Delay, but ReaDelay is pretty efficient, can do short delays, and the Reaper plugins are infamously 'not fancy'

lol. 2024. But to any lost soul who tried many plugins and couldn't find whats desired, Unfiltered Audio - Instant Delay does the exact same thing as Mixer delay.

Or the free KHS Haas effect...

You might consider these:

- Low CPU/no GUI:

Doesn't have negative values though.

- w/GUI:

Works both ways (negative and positive values).

If you want a simple haas fx then this is pretty lightweight and free: https://www.vennaudio.com/quickhaas/

Wow holy Necro thread Batman haha.
Yeah I've since moved back to Cubase 13Pro, also resources aren't a problem anymore( 8) ...so any of them would suffice really.

Cheers. :tu:
