Roland Cloud

Hello good people of KVR. I know that some of you don't like my presence on here. There is this assumption I'm just some Roland marketing cultist just trying to just sell you something every chance I get, but my job is to engage with social media via customer support. I am merely here to explain the Roland Cloud eco-system and how it works and give suggestions to Roland Cloud users when they are having problems or guide them to our support team. I don't know Roland Clouds full release schedule because it's not my department. When something is coming up I am aware of it, but Roland has always been tight lipped about up and coming releases to the public so I have to abide by that.
Roland uses GALAXIAS, it's a new tool created to center the Roland Cloud eco system, and people sincerely love it, some people hate it (which I don't fully understand in general but that's ok). If I mention GALAXIAS, it's because this is a Roland Cloud tool and this is what Roland Cloud uses and in the instance of patch browsing, it is a huge step forward. I don't care if you use it or not. Roland also offers memberships and some people really love that system some people do not. If you don't want to pay for a membership, I get it. We currently have 30 day authentication, this creates problems for some users, is very controversial for some people, and we are always working on solutions with RCM. We should have an update soon. ACB, ZEN-Core, these things are very successful and Roland Cloud is very successful and is not going anywhere. These are all aspects of the current reality of Roland Cloud and some of it is great and some of it needs work. That's what I am here to discuss. I don't care if you buy it or ditch it. I try to find customers with issues and provide solutions.
At this point, I try and not chime in as much as possible on here. This is maybe the third post I've had to make regarding my position at Roland. If you don't want to use Roland Cloud, that is totally fine with me. At the end of the day, if you use Roland Cloud and are not happy with it we are flexible with accommodating your issues and are happy to work something out. If you no longer want to use Roland Cloud, you have your reasons and I won't try and convince you stay. I do not care about negative sentiment overall, I take many of your comments and show them to my boss so he can catalog them and share them with everyone. Just know that this is my job and I am just a 37 year old guy working for Roland. I am a person who gets their feelings hurt and doesn't like to be piled on. Please try and keep that in mind and feel free to send me a PM if you need!

The problem Jon is you have lost all credibility. That statement doesn't jive with this oneJon at Roland wrote: Tue Aug 20, 2024 4:47 pm I don't know Roland Clouds full release schedule because it's not my department.

so again you have lost all credibility on this matter, and are now saying they keep you in the dark when before you said WHILE MARKETING FOR ROLAND that there is all kinds of stuff coming, so which is it? And if you don't know everything that's fine to, just share what you do know
It's rather stunning how poor Roland's customer service is, you are here selling subscriptions under the false promise of new instruments, then say "opppsie I don't know if anything is coming out it's not my department"
WAAAAAY back on January 23rd you promised that there was TONS of stuff planned for this year. It's now almost September and so far you have killed off one beloved plugin and put out a space echo plugin no one cares about
Where is the ton of stuff you were talking about as of it was known to you?

I concur, when Jon is reduced to pretending he is in the dark there is absolutely nothing on the horizonsacer wrote: Tue Aug 20, 2024 5:54 pm let's wait what happens, i bet nothing new will be released this year....

also good for newcomers and people from google maybe to see the current state, i dunno how many find kvr here via google etc but this is also good to show and make new people interests sceptical. if something sucks it sucks and should be shown and not praised with marketing blabla.
facts, not hollow posts we need
their facebook page seems also to get more and more unhappy people to post

It was a long time ago since I've stopped using Roland cloud and all of its related vsts, for obvious reasons.
However I kept procrastinating the uninstallation of the horrendous roland cloud manager, that keeps popping up like a 1999 internet web based popup out of nowhere, because I've always felt "not this time, I've got something more important to do!". But this post reminded me to finally take this "chore" and clean up the space from my hard drive and get rid of this annoyance forever.
Just so you know, I've heard about people who purchased tons of your vsts, but decided to use pirated versions because the RCM is a nightmare and your company punish its customers with its endless authorization process and constant bugs of the utterly amateur, malfunctioned piece of bloatware known as RCM, that you couldn't get right for 6 years.
Your competitor, Korg, has done a much much better job than your company.
Their "Korg Software Pass", which is the equivalent for the dysfunctional "RCM" that make your customers suffer on a constant basis, is a very simple, straightforward and user friendly piece of software that for some reason, people here don't complain about often, or at all.
Also, as people mentioned, you have absolutely ZERO credibility about any announcements for new products.
It's been YEARS since the last time a new instrument came out in the roland cloud.
No, sample pack number xy12232 is not a new instrument.
No, Glaxias is not a new instrument, it's another garbage that none of your customers has ever asked for.
Your customers has constantly requested certain instruments to be released for years, but got served with sample packs and other useless preset managers instead.
Don't try to educate your customers every new week with "this is GALAXIA$ and this is how we do things from now on...btw no more support for plugin x/y/z have fun!"
Btw, you SHOULD care about negative sentiments, because people don't complain for no reason, and if customers will abandon your company it will directly affect your company's budget and layoffs could happen.
Don't take any of it personally, but you are the messenger of a company who abuse and disregard its software customers for YEARS, and that's the main reason why this topic is over than 400 pages long.
Goodluck!

I just want an ACB JX-8P.
I don't think any of this is Jon's fault. His bosses give him an impossible job, and he has to go out and make the best of it. But he's the only person from Roland we have to talk to, so he's the one that hears it from us.
