Googling suggests this might have been a Prophet V, though that seems a bit unlikely to me.

The loop above isn't pristine, it was derived from the master so it might be slightly deceptive. There's two components - the soft high arp seems simple enough. The real magic is in those distinctive burbles, which sorta sound Synthi / VCS3. However, reading a little about how they jammed and put stuff together I wonder if it was just one magical patch that did it all.

Whenever it is covered or even when Talking Heads play live, the sound is nowhere near as good, and it is so iconic I've always been fascinated with it. This, for example...
