It was more a case of thinking you'd be bound to already own it. Presets is definitely a big part of it, especially if you're interested in the 3rd-party sets that are available. Also, it does allow for very easy preset modifications. And then there's the huge sound-source library. But at this point you probably have so much source material that you could probably throw into any number of plugins, so probably not gping to be worth the asking price for you.
