Sounds very nice, my type of drum…no wonder it took a while, a lot of work has gone in to that!
Also noted Triaz updated to 1.1.1 , the update is for the expansion.

Expansions, cool
Weirdly, I dont really like the foley thing, i just make those into hat sounds or something.
Beyond that i think the sounds are very cool
in Triaz in general.

Sounds great. Can’t resist adding Triaz packs to have the ‘full’ version, if they sound so good. Like, 'collect them all'!
EDIT: OK, Triaz Player, too. Hadn't realised a Player version existed. Makes sense.

Did this ever get solved in a good way? I've tried to find a solution on this forum, VIC and reddit to no avail.tatanka wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2024 8:39 am Can anyone tell me whats wrong with this ?
Since hours I try to start/stop the sequencer and pattern change from midi but it simply dont work in 9 from ten cases. The notes are right cause in 1 from ten cases it works. I am totally puzzled....
I'm testing Triaz now and I had hoped to work with Triaz this way, which is:
1. Host sync = OFF
2. Trigger banks as needed
3. Not copy midi out until late if ever (from the perspective that everything is open to changes until I'm done, i really don't want to copy past back and forth every time I want to adjust a beat)
From the manual that should be perfectly possible by turning off Host Sync and use midi triggers, but I experience the same as the poster above. Triaz seems to carry over on / off state between restarting the tune in the DAW (Logic), so sometimes it plays without any trigger note present. In addition in the opposite case, trigger notes (bank notes or just sequencer on / off) are being ignored.
So very random to me if it works. I tried to freeze the track as a life hack, and in this case Triaz completely ignores that Host Sync is off, and creates output as if Host Sync is on, it seems.
From a black box perspective, the whole sequencer on / off triggers is asking for state management trouble. As seen with other drum products, a strategy where Triaz plays a bank for the duration of the trigger note and otherwise staying silent would solve this and be very welcome.
Apologies in advance if I've somehow missed a solution in this 57 page long thread

I dismissed Triaz at first for two reasons:
1) The kits are limited to 12 sounds. I usually prefer more complete "General MIDI"-style kits (without the cheesy General MIDI sounds) that are spread across my 5 octave keyboard.
2) There are no synthetically generated sounds. It's all samples (although these can be layered in a "component" fashion so that a noise element, for instance, can be mixed in and its amount modulated via velocity, for instance).
But after checking out the Triaz Player and realizing how great the sounds/kits are, I went ahead and purchased the full version of Triaz. It kicks ass! The kits are all really well-done and the programmed patterns are surprisingly good, IMO. I didn't think I would use any of these preset patterns but I just might.
Incidentally, I also own Wave Alchemy's Complete Drums Bundle, System 100 Drums, and Syncussion Drums sample libraries and the sounds in these are killer. But does anyone know how much overlap there is between the sounds in these sample libraries and the sounds in Triaz? There are likely so many great kits in Triaz that it's probably not worth the effort to build any of my own using the samples from these earlier libraries. I can easily load these samples into Kontakt or HALion via the preset kits included with these libraries. However, it might be cool to use the samples in Triaz as well, assuming the sounds are different.
Oh, if I had one critique against Triaz it's that its browser is tagged-based only. I would have appreciated hierarchical categories as well so I could more easily find Syncussion kits, for instance, and not have to filter the library by "Disco," "Electronica" or "Synth Pop" to try to find what I am looking for.

So far I haven't really made use of the import other libraries. The Triaz factory library alone is very versatile and good sounding. And the plugin has many controls and effects to further adjust / merge the sounds. Having everything already in the Triaz plugin structure is really nice, this is why I then also got the Drift expansion pack.
The samples and the included presets area really great! The patterns are usually a bit too busy for me, imho they could have included more than one pattern into a patch and then have different versions of it (like for drop / buildup / variants). I think I saw one patch where they did this, and it was quite nice to switch between them via controller.
Maybe importing external libraries becomes more attractive when they add this AI sample analysis and categorization feature.

I drag the midi into the DAW, then the business is helpful because it makes it easy to create variations by stripping back different parts. But the best (for me) is the full songs in Addictive Drummer and Maschine, the fills and variations are already lain out.Fannon wrote: Mon Aug 26, 2024 5:07 am The samples and the included presets area really great! Does Wave Alchemy have plans to do this (use AI to analyze samples and categorize them)?Fannon wrote: Mon Aug 26, 2024 5:07 am Maybe importing external libraries becomes more attractive when they add this AI sample analysis and categorization feature.

Yes; roadmaps were included earlier in this thread - for example, see: viewtopic.php?p=8944948&hilit=roadmap#p8944948Dumpster Fire wrote: Mon Aug 26, 2024 6:12 amDoes Wave Alchemy have plans to do this (use AI to analyze samples and categorize them)?Fannon wrote: Mon Aug 26, 2024 5:07 am Maybe importing external libraries becomes more attractive when they add this AI sample analysis and categorization feature.
AI / ML based bulk sample Import option where users can automatically link in, sort and tag all their samples with AI from different locations. We would train this model for character tagging based on our huge hand tagged library of drum sounds.

Wow, that would be amazing. Anyone got ahold of WA support recently? My order for the expansion doesn't show up but haven't heard back from them (past experience was very prompt)
Edit: So the web form didn't go thru but emailing directly seems to did the trick, got me sorted out quickly

No. I reported what seems to be a bug a couple weeks ago and haven’t heard back yet. Previous communications were very prompt.Hopefully they are very busy coding and samplingsoftska wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 4:37 pm Anyone got ahold of WA support recently? Good point! If you have just one pattern, it's best to start with the busy one and then trim it down. But with Triaz you can also have several patterns. So you could also layout a full song progression / many variants in the sequencer. It's just that you cannot name them (it's just numbers) and it's also not very visible which patterns are actually "filled".Uncle E wrote: Mon Aug 26, 2024 5:49 amI drag the midi into the DAW, then the business is helpful because it makes it easy to create variations by stripping back different parts.
