Waldorf MicroWave as a plugin?

Depeche Mode and Hans Zimmer only used them for demo tracks. Once it came time to release, they used Serum.

I like Depeche Mode. They could have used Serum if it existed and no one would have known or cared, which is the main point.

It is what is played right ? Not what synth. For all I know maybe they played the boring backing sounds on the Waldorf's.

Good for its time now vastly superceded and still ok for purist cheesy synth music demo's with preset drum patterns off a organ or similar etc. Would work ok along side this:

With the smell of dust, stale air, ciggies, whisky, beards and lava lamps, that is what the sound reminds me of. Boring stuff.

I have serum and a few other wavetable synths, I still like this one and will likely buy it.

I'm a guy that parameter locks the effects to OFF on all the synths that let me do this (Diva, Repro, Dune, etc) so I love that this doesn't have any onboard FX. Lets the raw sound shine.

u-he does it the best. Let the user decide if effects are wanted or not.

You can try all you like but you've revealed yourself here. It's obvious you're Waldorf-curious and just put on all this bravado to hide it, and all in vain.

If I can only barely tell the difference between these hardware comparisons of PPG Wave and Waldorf Microwave:



.... and I already have the PPG Wave 3 plugin, would this plugin really add much sound-wise or is is just that it looks easier to program ?
