Leaked from a site by mistake yesterday ahead of the news, then pulled out, but here are the specs:
shockingly enough, there isn't much new to it and no polyphonic aftertouch or Midi 2.0, so I don't really see the point of that release (which I must say I had been looking forward to for quite a well). Thoroughly disappointing. Let's hope they come up with a pro version of that keyboard with a better keybed and Polyphonic Aftertouch or even better the Polybrute 12's keybed.
But for now I'm afraid it's a pass for me.
9 encodeurs 360° sensibles au toucher (9 rotary encoders - touch sensitive also)
une entrée Aux sur jack 6,35 mm (1 x aux jack Input 6.35mm -Not sure what that's about, as there is no sound card in this, maybe to input MIDI, anyone?
)
une E/S MIDI DIN (Midi IN and OUT, no Thru...)

Fewer pads, not selector buttons beneath the faders. Cleaner layout (no small print everywhere). I was holding out for polyphonic aftertouch and hoping for polybrute keybed!
I prefer the 16 pads.
Will probably keep holding out for the MK4. They are also leaving lots of room for a "pro" version with this update.

I really wish they would add a ribbon controller. or a directional touchpad like on the old Novation ReMOTE SL and a larger display. Not tempted to upgrade from my current KeyLab.

I didn’t see anything mentioned, but does anyone know if it is class compliant USB?

Yes it is
1.1.1. Connecting via USB
Connect KeyLab mk3 to your computer using the included USB cable. Power and MIDI is
supplied through this connection.
KeyLab mk3 is a class-compliant USB device, so its drivers are automatically installed when
connecting to a Mac. Your controller keyboard will be ready to use within a few seconds
after power-up.

That was a rather lacklustre release in so many ways, more a 'by the way' after pushing out the AstroLab. And still no S1-integration. Super disappointed now, was holding off on upgrading the Essential but with the release tempo they're holding I suppose it's time to look at something else, no idea which though as there are precious few that seems to really innovate much or even provide what could be considered basic & fundamental features.
