NFR Licence Issue

Hi all. I wonder if anybody else has had an issue with Arturia and them claiming licences have been gifted.
For context, I had a promotional offer to buy Acid V when it was released last year for 49 euros. Also advertised was an offer to purchase Acid V + V Collection 9 for 199 euros. The same again more recently for Minibrute and V Collection X upgrade.
I decided to sell V Collection as I do not really use it, however, when trying to do so, Arturia support tell me the Acid V and Minibrute licences were "gifts" and cannot be sold. Further, that if I sell my V Collection, then these gifted licences are transferred with it.
I am really not happy about this. There is no mention of the individual licence being gifts in the advertising literature or at any time at the point of purchase (if there had been I would have purchased only the individual licences).
Has anybody else experienced anything similar?

Yes.
I got into the V9 + the Minifreak deal and when i sold it i was told that i couldn't keep the Minifreak since it was tied to V9 as a gift/Bundle so the buyer would get both.
So if you don't buy them separately they see it as a Bundle.
Same goes for when you upgrade and you sell the latest upgraded V-Collection.
Then you will also loose the one that you upgraded from and anything that was added in as a bundle for that version.

Yes this is exactly the issue I am having and it is bang out of order. There is zero mention of this in the advertising literature. Plus I am certain that if I had purchased the individual licences, and then v collection in a seperate transaction, the price would have been the same.D-Fusion wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 10:33 am Yes.

Imo it’s pretty shady and if I am being cynical, they are well aware of this.
Anyway. It is a clear breach of EU consumer law and I will be taking it further.
I’ll let you know how I get on

Looking forward to hear how it goes.
It hasn't always been that way and it seems like it is a new changer from them.
The same goes for their new 6 month wait for selling your license after you have purchased a product from them.
Looking closer it looks like their policy was updated and changed 8. Desember 2023 so if you bought it before that date the old policy should apply to you.

Interesting. Do you happen to know what the policy was pre December 2023? Acid V I purchased mid 2023 so would be under the old terms. Minibrute and V collection X upgrade under the new ones. However, the point is that this information is hidden away in a very long document somewhere else on the website. This sort of info should be clearly displayed at the point of sale.D-Fusion wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 6:06 pmGreatCF432 wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 12:29 pmYes this is exactly the issue I am having and it is bang out of order. I don't remember what the old Policy was when I sold V4 or 5 But I could keep what i wanted and sell the rest in my account back then without any problem.CF432 wrote: Wed Aug 28, 2024 8:55 amInteresting. The problem you have now is that the X upgrade is tied to your V9 so now the latest Terms is Active since it got replaced by the old V9 Rules/Terms when you upgraded.
I do agree that things like this should be easier to find and not hidden.
