Is this Apple Silicon Native and able to run on Sonoma 14.4 and up? Because I’m unclear about compatibility on Apple computers after reading the pdf regarding installation and use on macOS.

Am I correct in stating that you must enter specific text into the Terminal utility app before it will function properly? And is there really a step where I need to click away 1,000 dialog boxes before the application would work?

I’ve never come across something like that before and it seems like a strange quirk. I would really appreciate any information or tips that anyone has. Thanks :tu:
Yes, it works fine on their latest OS. That's always the one I am testing on.

Install is a bit fidly but should be doable. It should be sufficient to open the security dialog and click on allow to make it work.

Yes, you can ignore this but it would be interesting to have a look at the file. If you want send me an example (upload to your favorite file hoster and PM me the link).

Thank you for sharing! Unfortunately, it still doesn't read any of my AIFF files. It would be amazing to see this fixed with one of the coming updates!

Hi Tried to convert a single layered AKAI xpm file to bitwig multisample and got the following error when loading the multisample in bitwig sampler.
Error loading files <file location here> : could not read metadata:
Mandatory RIFF chunk data missing

CWM 10.50.msi Bitwig 5.2.2

Also a minor niggle not sure if this is windows only can the select path dialogue boxes remember the path for each side rather than the last one used?

Did you select to update any of the WAV headers? Please try a conversion with all of them active and then with none of them.

Will check.

CWM 10.50 has no options for BWS Multisample also didn't work for live sampler with all options ticked or unticked. SFZ works and so does NNXT

Post

Hi. This looks very promising. I'm running Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1. OS tells me that the software is not supported on this OS. Any chance I can still run the software

I am running 14.6.1 as well. Is this Intel or ARM? Could also be another Macos nonsense message. Did you do the "xattr -rc ."?

Post

Assuming you tried the usual right clicking the app and hitting open? It works fine for me on 1461 arm.

you are on intel I guess.. have the same Problem..the download built is for apple silicon... could anyone do a built for intel macs? I dont have xcode on my machine ATM.

kind regards

Post

I have the same problem on my intel Mac, 13.6.7, the not supported message. Hope someone can make a built for intel. Is there an older release that I can download and use in the meantime?

Thank you for making this powerful tool Moss, really fantastic!

Post

I looked into the Macos Intel issue. Turns out that GitHub switched now the default build to ARM instead of Intel.
It took me a bit to figure this out but being at it, there are now 2 dedicated builds for both platforms to download.
And since I had to do a new build anyway, here is the latest stuff I had already finished:

ConvertWithMoss 10.6:
  • All formats
    • New: If multi-samples with the same name are created during a conversion process, unique postfixes are now appended.
    • Fixed: Average bytes per second was not stored correctly in WAV files.
  • Kontakt - Reading
    • New: Support for NCW files with 32-bit float samples.
Get it from https://mossgrabers.de

Enjoy!
