The sliders are "weights" that determine what aspects of the audio in the delay buffer are selected as samples (segments of audio) in the segment selection field. So you could use pitch, brightness or loudness to determine what is selected._al_ wrote: Mon May 27, 2024 11:21 pm Bought this, as I was intrigued by that bottom left section (Timbre, brightness etc), but um... I can't get those sliders to do anything?
Are they just a subtle effect, or does something need to be activated in order to use them?
I only had a 20 minute play, but for the life of me, I can't get those sliders to do anything!
Oh, and also, the Pitch control on the right... tooltip help says that we can set in semitones by right clicking? Nope, not on my comp. All buttons have the same effect.
Win 10, FL, using vst3
The segments in the field then can be targets for various manipulation like pitch, loudness, filtering.
If you click on the pitch control the context menu gives you an option for "snapping" which locks it to semitones.

Hi. Thanks for the feedback!
The bottom left section can be a bit nebulous. Those sliders are segment selection weights - they won't immediately / directly affect the output audio but rather will inform how segments of audio are selected for playback.
Each value is a weight determining how much of that analysis feature is used when looking for similar segments. For example: if all were set to 0 but loudness, then only loudness would be used when selecting similar segments of audio and any segment of similar loudness (even if very different by other metrics) could be selected for playback.
Have a play around with them with that context and hopefully it makes a bit more sense.
As for the pitch slider - good catch. That is a bug. Just took a look and the right click to snap feature accidentally got turned off. Easy fix and we will have that working in an update coming soon. In the meantime, there is a snapping toggle you can set in the parameter context (bottom middle section, after interacting with the slider). Hope that helps!

Welcome RedTimbre, great plugin.
Always nice to have some academic type
devs providing us with bleeding edge designs.
Cant wait to see more.
btw *I would like to see some hi-tech sample manipulation if i had my way.

If you can be more specific (which presets? what does "don't work" mean?) then I can double-check. Otherwise, um, maybe...?PhilF wrote: Sun Aug 25, 2024 3:49 pm I've just purchased this - sounds good so far but quite a few of the presets don't work?
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Guitar Reverse Atmosphere
Over Overlay
Piano Atmospheric
Piano reverse Atmosphere
Piano Filtered Atmosphere
Synth Melodic Layer
Synth Pad Texture 2
Texturizer - works but keeps on feeding back until total distortion
The others don't appear to make any difference to the sound.
Like, it's no biggie (Delay Cat is amazing) but it is worth mentioning - wasn't sure if it was just my set up or others were having the same experience.

Maybe they need transport running?

I'm not having any trouble with those presets, although Texturizer kills the CPU. Transport doesn't seem to need to be running. What host? What OS?
Surely there must be consensus by now...

No demo? Looks cool, but what happens if for some odd reason it doesn’t run on your machine? It’s cheap enough on the current sale, but still, I do like to give things a spin before I start entering in credit card information.
