WA are predominantly known for their drum sample libraries.. As for Triaz...They updated Triaz to go from Kontakt instrument to a stand alone VST and they did that update for free.... Also Triaz has been updated twice since then (in the last 6 months and the second update was a big one) which isnt to shabby...Personally I think its amazing value for £80...even just for the included samples....but you can always try the free 'player'Caine123 wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 6:31 pm are WA really good? i see some old products dont get updated and not always good comments. seems they are communicative the first weeks then are radio silent. so im sceptical and wait with a purchase.
As for the other instruments- they have one more Kontakt instrument (a bass) and some reverbs...not much to update, but I suspect the other Ko0ntat instruments will go stand alone at some point (I hope for free as I own the bass!)
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

There’s a lot in the expansion, and no doubt it’s more quality work, but for me, GBP49 (on intro sale price, usually GBP 69), is quite expensive. Just my view though, and I appreciate this is a big expansion (13,000 samples, vs the core library of 15,000 samples).bilrobins wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 7:38 pm Triaz (VST) has been great for me since purchase. Really good value, very slick to use. Nice support. The recent expansion is fab ... and again great value.

If you subscribe to news letter they also sent out a 10% off code and you also get a free new sample pack (the new one, worth 20 quid) on top of that…you also get money of your next purchase every time you buy…. Makes it a bit better valuegreenmind72 wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 9:01 pmThere’s a lot in the expansion, and no doubt it’s more quality work, but for me, GBP49 (on intro sale price, usually GBP 69), is quite expensive. I have to admit, the expansion price did stop this being the usual WA instabuy, especially as we don't know what further expansions are coming down the line.
Not saying it isn't worth it, but maybe they could do smaller packs of specific genres that are a bit more bite-sized in content and price

Yes I hope they do ,this pack is probably great and a good value considering all that’s included but I’m not particularly interested in it and Triaz core library is great but it’s missing patterns from many genres.Mr Arkadin wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 11:09 pm I have to admit, the expansion price did stop this being the usual WA instabuy, especially as we don't know what further expansions are coming down the line.

If you have any use or interest in the styles and sounds covered in the first expansion, it’s not cheap, for sure, but it’s excellent in terns of samples and programmed rhythms, IMO.
Cheaper, more bite sized packs would be good too.

Just a quick note for anyone having issue reaching them with the contact form: Try their email, not sure if it's my browser or the form, but doesn't seem to go thru. They got me sorted out quickly once I emailedChanceB wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 5:14 pm No. I reported what seems to be a bug a couple weeks ago and haven’t heard back yet. Previous communications were very prompt.Hopefully they are very busy coding and sampling

Another vote for bite-sized expansions, I can't drop $49 (or whatever it works out to in US) on an expansion pack right now. $24.99 or something would probably get me for a smaller pack.

Compared to what? With 10% off and a free second sound pack I though it was OK, no more than NI expansions and 13 000 new drums...
That said...for people who wait there will almost certainly be sales and bundles...WA do sales pretty often...

I am obviously not the only one who thinks price is a bit too high. I will wait and see, also wait for other expansions to be released. Also the fact that I have tons of drum samples after many years just like many other people, makes new drum samples generally less interesting. NI generally is no option at all anymore for me.SLiC wrote: Sat Aug 31, 2024 12:39 pmCompared to what? It’s super inexpensive considering how much it comes with. Maybe it comes with too much.
